So that was a quarter of a century ago... have they been doing all wrong music since then?

Re: Track-by-Track: From Please to Nonetheless
I always imagined the voice at the start being a paper boy calling out a random daily headline
Had never been to England so I pictured him like Oliver Twist dressed in tweed and a cap, lol.

I found the cover quite New Romantic, but a bit modernised for the time.

Re: Single or album version preferences
The single version of Monkey Business ends with the chorus callout, which is terrific.
On the album they just fade out - which is the way to end a song when you don't know how to end it. So it's weird to not choose the single method, imo.

Re: Pete Paphides meeting ver Boys
I had to run that tweet through Google Translate several times before it began to make sense to me.
It'd be ten time worse if you didn't know was a Pet Shop Boy was.

Re: Track-by-Track: From Please to Nonetheless
The thing I always think of when listening to this is how different it is to West End Girls. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when Please was released they were still mostly famous for West End girls, since Opportunities and Love comes quickly weren't quite as huge. So many people would of spun up Pleas...

Re: Next Single
I still don't understand why they wouldn't of delayed the bluray until they had all the videos
Blurays are a bit of a novelty and the reason to fork out extra might be to collect all the videos. Can't imagine most people popping in a Nonetheless bluray to listen to it.

This is great! And a lot of smoke.
Neil is wearing a long coat, but seems to be a little gown-ish. And with the turtle neck - stylish!
Get the impression he has a lightsaber up his sleeve

Re: New album Nonetheless
Russia has the largest number of nuclear weapons in the world, they are still being produced today. From Europe, USA will fly missiles to Russia, from Russia will fly missiles to NATO countries. Blah, blah. It's not 1915 anymore. From the start Ukraine has had people of different backgrounds. The w...

Forget a few lifeless statues, an unjustified modern day war is probably the biggest slight of all against any supposed purity of the past.

I'm glad a few people said Miracle because it gives me an excuse to ask without starting a new thread:
What the heck is the robotic voice saying at 8 seconds?
Love the song, as bleak as it is - but this has always been a mystery to me!

In my region (Leningrad region), the one next to Finland and Estonia, they have started actively digging bomb shelters. Schools are holding drills on how to work in case of radiation. In my city (St. Petersburg) they are conducting bombing alerts. Children are already being taught how to put on a g...
