Re: Classic Pop August 2019

It would be fun to hear these... along with My Beautiful Launderette. Hopefully with Neil singing, not Frances Barber. Getting the side projects out of the way ahead of the new album campaign, I guess. They've recorded the tracks with Frances, so I expect her as the vocalist. Neil's versions will p...

Songs will be made available online before the shows Edinburgh run and they are in talks with the Leicester Square theatre to have the show there for four or five nights.
Musik premiers in Edinburgh on 5 august, so could we expect the new songs in 2 weeks?

The survivors is in my all time top five. I literally “whooped” when they played it at the Albert Hall gig
I always skipped that song until I heard it in the 2012 orchestral performance. It suddenly clicked and now it's one of the highlights of the album imo.

Re: Pet Shop Boys to create music for My Beautiful Laundrette stage adaptation

Nope. A lot of 80s songs were "recreated" in Bollywood movies, and never given credit or acknowledged. For those interested, here are two more mentions of PSB songs reused in Bollywood https://www.itwofs.com/hindi-others.html https://www.itwofs.com/hindi-rr.html Hilarious. However, I don't think I ...

Very good

Someone on twitter found this out
I just got a nice little shiver when working out whether the binary on the ribbon of the new £50 banknote meant anything.

1010111111110010110011000 is 23061912 in decimal. Alan Turing was born on the 23rd June 1912. What a nice touch.

Literally font

I am working on some silly hobby project, which will probably never be finished, but for this I need the font that is used for the Literally magazines. I tried Bembo Book W04, which is used on the PSB website, but it's not quite the same. Does anyone know?

Re: Final results of poll on three favorite songs of the "Behaviour era"

I picked 3 non-album tracks. I had one or two from the album itself but Delusions of Grandeur and Hallo Spaceboy are just fantastic (I still think Hallo Spaceboy is one of the best things they've done).

Re: Pet Shop Boys to create music for My Beautiful Laundrette stage adaptation

From their website: Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant have written four pieces of incidental music and a couple of songs for a stage version of the 80s British film, "My Beautiful Laundrette", written by Hanif Kureishi. The production will premiere in Leicester at the end of September and then tour to oth...

Re: Pet Shop Boys to create music for My Beautiful Laundrette stage adaptation

So between Super and the new album, they did some tracks for Agenda, the Billie Trix play and this? Wow. No wonder it took 4 years to make.
