Re: My Inspiration

This campaign made a belated return with the release of Hotspot. The pictures show the promo racks at HMV in Leeds. A selection of PSB titles in both formats along with albums and films Chris has apparently been influenced by. The eagle-eyed will be able to work them all out, there is Bowie, the Bee...

Future Forests

A bit of a random one, I just happened to notice today the tiny paragraph at the bottom of the credits in the booklet for the original Release (2002) CD that says the CD is Carbon Neutral and that 'the Pet Shop Boys and Parlophone would plant enough trees with Future Forests to absorb the CO2 produc...

If you've not heard it already Tom I think you'll absolutely love the John Maus album Screen Memories.

11 years today since the release, such a great album, Integral and Twentieth Century the stand outs and of course the excellent Fugitive stuck away on Disc 2!

Re: The Super Tour - Some speculation

Fantastic atmosphere last night as others have said already, Leeds Arena really is a cracking venue and you can see why it gets lots of praise from the artists. The crowd were well up for it (one of the bonuses of having a gig on a Saturday night in Leeds) and the singalongs were tremendous. I would...

Re: Pet Shop Boys on GOING LIVE CHRISTMAS SHOW 19th December 1987

Great find, love it, Chris is clearly in a bad way. Amazing to think they hadn't started touring at the time when you consider the sheer amount of dates they do these days. What you would give for those competition prizes now?! Gordon The Gopher was better than Rick Astley even in 1987.

Ticket For Sale - Leeds - 18th Feb 2017 - Third Row

I have a ticket for sale for the sold out first show of the Super Tour in the UK at the Leeds First Direct Arena on Saturday 18th February. The ticket is seated Row C of Block C on the floor. I want it to go to a fan on here and don't want to make any profit from it, so I am asking for 85.49 (75.00 ...

Re: Would you read a book about Very?

Late to the party, but just to say how much I loved this. It was the first album of theirs proper I bought (or had bought for me as a ten-year-old in 1993, in WH Smith Blackpool of all places) having been introduced to them via Discography and the cassette single of Can You Forgive Her. The comments...

Re: Super Tour - UK dates

Managed to get second row centre on the floor in Leeds, should hopefully be nicely away from most of the cretins filming each and every moment on their phones. Strange that there isn't a standing section (as there was when Depeche Mode played there in 2013), but as a cynical/wise friend points out t...

Re: Further Listenings 15 years old today. Leave your tributes here.

Fantastic, I remember buying all six in one go from a site that doesn't exist now - musiczone or something like that - never having paid 90 pounds for CDs in my life. They are still listened to now regularly, the booklets are superb. In a way they were ahead of their time considering the amount of r...

Can't stand the woman and I can't imagine the show will reveal any new news, but always nice to have an hour for the boys on the UK's biggest radio station.

Re: Annie: 'Anthonio' (produced by Richard X) , PSB fans will love this

Love Richard X and as much as I admire Stuart Price's work on the recent PSB albums I dream what Black Melody would have done with the same 'trilogy'. Fugitive remains one of my favourite PSB songs ever and so many of his other tracks/remixes are fantastic; Bertine Zetliz - Girl Like You Loads of th...
