Re: Cicero - Love Is Everywhere Demo

Future Boy is a decent album - I listen to it now and again. Love Cloud 9 and Then.

Re: The New Album Info Thread

It can be hammed up by as many remixes as you like - it’s still woeful.

Nothing says ‘rock’ like performing in the tip of a giant condom!

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

Elysium, looking back on it....the lyrics are a passable set of Tennant lyrics. but I think the real problem is there is alot of uninspired music. Memory of the future, hold on,everything means something, your early stuff, winner, ego music. while I know some will say they LOVE some of them, I think mo...

Then there’s give it a go…
Still one of my favourite songs.

Only breathing space is better on that album.

Winner still the only track to skip on that album (or replace it with it with the Happy Sad mix).
I think it’s manure, but each to their own...

That is absolutely appalling, have you tried reporting them to trading standards?

But I'm not talking about the lyrics, I'm talking about music. Songs like Leaving and Invisible are not particulary good on musical terms.
If Leaving had been on Behaviour you'd be calling it a masterpiece.
I would yeah, but then I like it anyway.

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

Elysium is such a frustrating album - beautifully produced, contains some real gems like Leaving, Invisible and requiem in denim... (well I think that one’s a gem anyway). Then there’s give it a go, winner and a couple only slightly better - sooooooo frustrating, particularly when they shove an abso...

Re: Actually vs Introspective, choose the best one

Introspective for me by some distance. Two quite different albums really, but by God, the stripey one was them at the absolute peak of their powers. Chris’ interest in house music coupled with Neil’s vocal perfection = PSB at the top of their game. That said, I adore King’s Cross, but as an album - ...

I think we’ll get PSB’s “England” album... a counterpoint to Hotspot... More Bernard Butler, maybe co-producing alongside them; Tracey Thorn on a few tracks. Inspired by country walks and musings on identity. I’d be well up for that.
Yeah I’d be up for that too I think.

I guess from tomorrow the new Government guidelines mean in theory Neil and Chris would be able to meet in person and spend time at each other’s houses.
And work on their next album Bubble.
Here’s hoping! And don’t call me Bubble!

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

A properly deep / dark techno album with an ambient bonus disc. Either that or thrash metal with synthesisers - a la Black Room KLF style.
