Re: I just nearly fainted!

I wonder who actually transcribes PSB songs into those notes (and also those shown on Chris's screen when he plays onstage).

"Both bands will play a full set with the headliner alternating each night."
What's the applicable definition of "headliner" then? That who plays the last?

Re: US TOUR

Are you guys saying that the gigs will not be all the same? Some will mostly feature PSB, others New Order? That seems rather weird. It's a Unity, so I thought both bands will be of equal importance on all dates.

Re: Complete Singles Collection Vol. 2

It states: “Different from UK Dub Mix” Weird. Here is the comparison (top — the 12", bottom — the JP 7" bonus): HeartDub.png The credits are also the same except for that the 12" adds "Additional keyboards by Adrien Cook. Edited by Junior Vasquez", but I don't hear any difference really. Perhaps Ch...

Only released as a 7” accompanying the LP(vinyl) of the Japanese version of Actually.
But that's the same track (I have compared the waveforms). It might just have a slightly longer fade out.

It is a shame that PSB and the Institute of Contemporary Arts weren't able to licence Eisenstein's film
Do you have any info on that e.g. they actually tried and failed?
It seems a bit weird as there apparently were no issues with showing the film to live audience.

Re: Large collection for sale

Why are you selling ? Not me selling, but people generally sell collections in two situations: hardship, or fear of losing value Can't speak of the former, but the latter is objectively sensible now, IMHO (except in relation to several super rare rarities on the list). 10-20 years ago, a great shar...

the day after the final ROH performance in 2017
Pardon, was that 2016 or 2018? ROH performances were in those years but not in 2017.
(In 2017 was RAH, and only one :D ).

Re: Battleship Potemkin - True, accurate sync

even if something’s in the public domain it doesn’t mean you can necessarily take it, add your own music, package it up and charge people to buy it. It doesn’t mean anyone was nasty or stupid which are odd words to choose. Well they didn't necessarily need to the release the film at all. What I don...

Re: Battleship Potemkin - True, accurate sync

As we’ve seen with It Couldn’t Happen Here, it’s not necessarily their decision. Whoever's decision it was to release a CD-only edit while not releasing the performed version in any form (especially that the movie was in public domain so a DVD could easily be released) — it was either nasty or stup...

UPDATE: Does not post to Australia. Presumably because they couldn't be bothered dealing with the stupid rules on GST on imports.
Nah. In NZ we how have those nasty rules too. eBay, Amazon and Aliexpress all now charge GST when buying to an NZ address .

Re: Battleship Potemkin - True, accurate sync

Immensely respectable work! (I once tried to do the same and know how tricky it is).

PSB must feel ashamed that they didn't release just f****** exactly what they performed and so made some fans go through this challenge and years of inability to watch the movie with their score properly.

I find it interesting that the video is copyrighted
Why? Copyright exists for everything created these days that is copyrightable, regardless of the copyright symbol. PSB would have only licensed the video to Smithsonian (as opposed to transferring copyright to it).
