I love Was it worth it, it’s much better than DJ Culture. It would have fared much better if it had been released before Discography came out.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

I was there and also went to see Edward II before at the Curzon cinema, one memory of the film was on the way out Stephen Fry stood next to Jimmy Somerville. Stephen Fry is very tall but seemed like a giant next to Jimmy. First time I went to Heaven nightclub and was amazed with the different dance floors and loved the club and atmosphere.

The concert itself was filmed and I can remember when the boys appeared on Going Live! near Christmas 1991 there was a video intro and a part of that was a part of the computer crash for its alright. Amazing lasers during the show which the boys had them sent from Italy.

Is there any way Agent Doris knows if the concert video exists?

You can't be serious?! DJ Culture is epic. Each to their own.

The Was it worth it dub mix is fantastic - complete with sample from Enjoy the silence!

The best thing about Was it worth it? is the little refrain from Neil during the songs final moments, best heard properly on the 12”....

‘I don’t know why....I never thought I’d fall in love, I don’t know why’......

Beautiful. That line was my very personal belief once too.

I'd never really thought about it but you can see the lineage from Was it Worth it? to Go West, can't you?

I suppose Why Don't We Live Together? was their first call-and-response song in a way.

That'd be the Brothers In Rhythm connection.

As to some of the above comments, I prefer DJ Culture as a song, but agree that Was It Worth It as the initial Discography single may have fared better - much more commercial. I'm genuinely surprised DJ Culture went Top 10, especially when you consider that the remix single DJ CultureMix didn't count towards DJ Culture's chart performance, and charted separately at #40. Does anyone know how any "Top 40" chart shows dealt with that? Did they play the Grid remix on the radio?

I find it curious though, that after all this time we still do not have a remastered 7" of Was It Worth It? It was left off Pop Art, Ultimate and Behaviour Further Listening. Will we ever get a remastered Discography?

Retro. :)

You’ll know when I’m not serious, my bow tie starts spinning! I like DJ Culture, but love Was it worth it. By the way, Moby’s electro mix of miserablism is sublime - one of my favourite psb remixes.

It entered the chart at number 13 then fell the next week. I really like DJ Culture but it's a very strange track to promote a greatest hits album.

It sure is. Still play it regularly, unlike the vocal mixes.

I remember listineing to the Radio 1 Chart Show at the time and Mark Goodier(?) introducing DJ Culturemix as "Remixed and Re-released". Can't remember if he played it though, as at that time I don't think they played every track in the lower parts of the chart.
Ran 'Relentless' Music Mail Order in the 90's and early 00's. That seems a lifetime ago, but I'm still a fan!

I cant believe I didnt know that about DJ Culturemix but in my defense I was outside of the UK that year and relied on my sister to pick up all my PSB stuff.

I guess what baffles me is why it counted as a different single release? Does anyone know why? The Parlophone product code clearly denotes it as a remix version of DJ Culture.

Industry restrictions at that point meant only a certain number of formats would count towards the chart for an individual release. Therefore if an act wanted to release further formats they needed to give it a separate, different catalogue number, meaning it constituted a separate release.
Woof.

Yep, I remember hearing the chart that week and Mark Goodier introducing it as a new entry at no.40. I remember thinking WTH was going on!
