Reissues project

Well they can take my money on the CD reissues, but I'm not sure I'll go for the vinyl. I bought the vinyl of every PSB album more or less upon release (with the possible exception of Please and Actually) so I don't necessarily feel it's in my interests to do so again.

Is vinyl so much different these days? Maybe someone can give me a decent reason why I should buy again?

Those track-listings look amazing. There are several tracks there that I've never even heard of like Playing In The Streets, Kazak (demo) and Reunion (Electro Mix). Hope they are really coming out in July.

Never heard of those either. It will be very interesting to hear them!

Maybe, but looking at the tracklistings for Nightlife, I suspect there was plenty of room to include it this time around. Having made the decision to space the Nightlife Further Listening out over 2 discs, it seems wasteful to not cram as much as possible onto each disc. You've Got To Start Somewhere seems like an obvious inclusion...

As it doesn't really take too much for an album to get in the top 10 these days, could these further listening albums chart quite high this time? Would love to see three Pet Shop Boys albums in the top 10

No, vinyl isn`t different these days, interesing only for collectors or vinyl afficinados. I bought these Kylie Box-Sets last year and was disappointed about the quality of the vinyls. IMHO the better dicision are the Further Listening CD-Sets.

An official promo ad featuring a great-sounding remaster of " I don't know what you want but I can't give it any more" (Instrumental!). If the sound quality is consistently this good, then the remastered "Nightlife" is going to be fantastic (regardless of the bonus tracks).

Amazon mistake
Amazon UK is still showing the wrong release date for the "Catalogue" reissues although they have been alerted to their mistake. The correct release date is July 28th.
