Pet Shop Boys Scrapbooks - new Facebook page

#1 Post by No Muscle Mary »

Hi all,
I've been collecting PSB interviews/snippets/pictures etc since 1986. Having spent many years languishing in attics and sheds, I've now dug them out and am happy to share so I've started up a Facebook page to share them. Many are old and have bits of sticky tape attached or may be in poor condition, they were never intended to be shared publicly and are far from mint. But they certainly look interesting and authentic!! They have travelled the world with me and are much-loved. Every week I'll add more until they are all there. And there are MANY. It's a fitting way to celebrate their 30-year career. I hope you enjoy them, Mary.

You'll find it at...

Wow. Good for you.

That cartoon makes Neil look like Keith Richards!

Not to mention Roland Orzabal

Thanks Daveid. If there's enough interest in it, I'll keep doing it.

It is a great little cartoon. But Neil's mouth is a bit big. I'm pretty sure Number One mag used to do those, one per issue with different artists. It's glued to the page so I can't investigate the back :)

I'm a bit of a Photoshop whizz so as time goes by, I might fix up some of the pics. But for now, I'll be presenting them as they are, authentic in their decaying state.

Haha these are fab! Looks more like Mick Jagger in that cartoon to me, but it's really good. Love the smirking Chris pic from the Actually sessions - never seen that shot before.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

That's an awesome idea Mary ! I love old PSB interviews and pictures. I used to go on used books stores to get some of them in the past. But in Canada, PSB stuff was very limited back then :-)
I LOVE ENGLISH COCUMBERS !!!

Thanks! I have some real gems that many fans, especially those not into them in the early days, may not have seen. Plus lots of interesting trivia.

Thats great, Mary, thanks a lot! Here in eastern Europe were only a few possibilities to get any info about psb in those times. Its amazing to see, how did that all look like.

This is brilliant. Thanks for doing this.

I too collected loads of PSB cuttings from about 1988 onwards but sadly my Mum and Dad threw most of it out when they moved house a few years ago. Magazine articles, interviews, tour programmes, promotional cards, ads. All sorts of things. I was so upset and my Dad couldn't understand why and just said "they were just old newspapers you collected as a kid, we didn't think you would still want them". S
I'm always waiting...

Sorry to hear that PopArt. I can imagine how upset you were. Time to share it, in case it gets lost too.

Yes, if others want to post, that would be fab! I'll just be taking pics with my phone and uploading that way, nothing fancy.

Thanks for your support!

I'll put up some long interviews too but may have to type up the wording as some would be difficult to read.
