PSB Summer Songs

#1 Post by BoyStrange » Wed 15 Jun 2016, 11:03 pm

Which PSB songs fit best to summer? I have a go on these seventeen (this number because it fits on the old-fashioned CD format):

- Domino dancing (album version)
- It's alright (single version)
- Bet she's not your girlfriend
- I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing (album version, but the single version is also summerly)
- Liberation
- Paninaro '95
- Se a vida e
- Single-bilingual
- The boy who couldn't keep his clothes on
- Between two islands
- All over the world
- Domino dancing/Viva la vida
- Bolshy
- Vocal
- Twenty-something
- Say it to me
- Burn

Seventeen songs which for me - musically (not necessarily lyrically) - constitutes a sound of summer.

What about you, folks?

BoyStrange -- glad you included "Bolshy"! That song screams out to me "NYC, Summer 1983, a scorching hot day, breakdancers dancing on the pavement."

Miracles
Burn
Saturday Night Forever
A Face Like That

The samurai in autumn... Oh er... Hang on...
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

'Always' reminds me of the end of summer for some reason.

I can totally see that. Quite bittersweet.
