Sorry all. Was worth a punt. Apparently these were archive internal reference copies that were set to available by mistake. Interesting that they should keep so many reference copies! I wonder if they are signed and complete final units or test pressings?
29 seems a vast amount though.i doubt they would have many reference copies?
There was actually 32 available at the beginning.

I would say do not trust VF. I remember the mess up 6 years ago.

This time I called and discussed this and he said it was legit, only to have them canceled hours later. They need to get their act together.

I bought one, went through ok, then got a full refund this afternoon and an apologetic email. Odd.

What are they even doing with 32 reference copies? Why that many? This whole thing stinks. Their phone number isn't on their site, I had to google and search for it, and their staff isn't knowledgeable. I asked very pointed skeptical questions when I was on the phone with them about why would they have these for sale again, yet was told it was legit.

No company would have 30 reference copies worth £500 each lying around.

But at least they haven't run off the money.

Anyone remember when a load of Madonna's Sex book appeared in the early 00s in a bookshop in Soho? Again, they were in mint condition, all sealed but had been languishing in a storeroom for nearly a decade.

This is completely unprofessional and totally lacking in class from Vinyl Factory. For a supposedly high end outfit it's all fairly low rent and 'Del Boy'. Shameful.

^^^^ Maybe they figured they could sell them at a much higher price and have blamed an error in the system. Perhaps expect them to appear somewhere else but with a hefty price tag.

Agreed, they are not a professional company. I will not do business with again.

There was an issue with early production units which caused a delay, as the whole thing went back into production from scratch after some amends - I recall NT talking about it

perhaps these are the first, early rejected batch?

No, that's just a HTTPS certification expiration. Once a year (I think) you have to extend your HTTPS certification, they are probably in the process of doing that. The website keeps working if you accept the expired certificate.
