US TOUR
Hello petheads
Long time lurker and even longer time die hard here.
I have it on very good authority that the US Tour this fall will be a co-headline one with NEW ORDER.
Major news I think.
Thoughts!?

Re: US TOUR
That would be very surprising as Barney is not a fan of playing more than a handful of dates at a time.
Having said that if it were to happen, having just seen New Order in Miami, I think they would be a natural fit.
An encore with "Getting Away with It", "Patience of a Saint", and "Disappointed" would be ace!

Wow! That is major news! Keep us updated if you get further info!!
Re: US TOUR
I think the downside would be each act would perform a truncated set, so basically just greatest hits for a general audience and no fan favorites or deep cuts.

Re: US TOUR
Why not add Johnny Marr and make it an Electronic tour as well?

Re: US TOUR
I find this very very hard to believe. The economics would be awful for both bands, unless maybe they played giant venues which I don’t think they could fill.
This kind of thing is just not done, outside festivals and revival tours of one-hit-wonders.
As much as I’d like this to be true, I call BS.

Bad Lieutenant doing dates with PSB worked very well, so why not?

Because Bad Lieutenant isn’t New Order.

Re: US TOUR
Well, the set was about 50% New Order, and worked well before a PSB set.

Re: US TOUR
Right, but in the US nobody knew who the hell BL was. They weren’t going to fill a NO-sized venue; made sense to attach them to PSB. NO filled the Anthem here in DC in 2017
.. that’s 6K people. PSB couldn’t do that. They play much smaller venues here. The last place they played only held 2K
