Token, Bingo, play it now!
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

The only PSB movie ever made. I like it but it makes no sense whatsoever. Should have watched it during film classes into absurdist films alongside The Bed Sitting Room.

Oh christ, you don't know how good this is!
Let me preorder now!
Any special edition version maybe??

I read someone else mention special features, hopefully there'll be something.
I remember the music video for Heart was filmed for It Couldn't Happen Here so there are a lot of deleted scenes from the movie.

The rest of the news in the link is extremely exciting as well but I'll keep my post on topic.

I think ICHH is a reefer classic.
Also, Neil is right about Radio 1 ageism. It's just stupid and insulting.

I also sincerely wish they release a dvd for HIGHLIGHTS or the full MCMLXXXIX tour!
Didn’t they already rule that out years ago? The reason was that the footage isn’t up to scratch or something like that.
I recall them saying somewhere in the last few years that both ICHH and MCMLXXXIX (in full) would be coming out on DVD, so guess they may have changed their mind about the quality of the footage. It'd certainly be a great historical document now.

Always hoped for a 2 disc release which included both. MCMLXXXIX could be the reward for making it through ICHH...! I jest actually, as I always quite enjoyed the movie, absurd as it was. I find it quite evocative of run down UK seaside towns.

Nice news! I hope it comes with subtitles, as the VHS didn't and it was hard to catch many phrases for a non-speaking person

As for New Boy, I'd say it's more Record Store Day material.

I didn't know that. Where does this info come from? Was it in an early Literally?

I don’t think that’s true.

Extras thus far:

Presented in High Definition and Standard Definition
Limited Edition 48-page Digi-book includes writing on the film by Anthony Nield, Jason Wood and William Fowler
Feature commentary by Jack Bond, James Dillon and Simon Archer (2020)
Interview with Jack Bond (2020)
Other extras TBC

It Couldn't Happen Here (Ltd Edition DVD + Blu-ray)
Directed by Jack Bond

Originally conceived as an hour-long video based on the Pet Shop Boys 1987 album, Actually, It Couldn't Happen Here turned into a full-scale feature film directed by Jack Bond (The Blueblack Hussar).

The first feature-length film starring the Pet Shop Boys alongside Joss Ackland, Gareth Hunt and Barbara Windsor finds Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe on an extraordinary adventure from the coast to London, encountering a curious array of eccentric characters along the way. Pop surrealism meets classic road movie, the film is peppered with hits from the duo's first studio albums, including 'West End Girls', 'It's a Sin', and 'Always On My Mind'.

Never less than fascinating, It Couldn't Happen Here is a truly unique film and one that has sadly been unavailable. Newly remastered by the BFI from a 4K scan, we are delighted to present the worldwide Blu-ray and DVD debut.
