Rating Project poll for Hotspot and its b-sides (so far)
Rating Project poll for Hotspot and its b-sides (so far)
Hey there! After not running any surveys for several weeks, I've now started a new Rating Project survey for the songs from Hotspot (minus "Dreamland," which was rated previously) and its associated single b-sides to date.
As always with my Rating Project polls, I'm asking you to rate each song on a scale of 0 to 10 as they compare to other Pet Shop Boys songs (not with songs by other artists), with:
* 0 meaning "One of the all-time worst Pet Shop Boys songs"
* 1-4 meaning "A below-average PSB song"
* 5 meaning "An average PSB song"
* 6-9 meaning "An above-average PSB song"
* 10 meaning "One of the all-time best PSB songs," and
* "Abstain" meaning you aren't rating this song (for whatever reason)
So please mull this over and, when you're ready, submit your ratings on my "Commentary" home page at http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm
Incidentally, I haven't yet decided whether I'll run this rating poll for one week or two. I guess a lot depends on how many people vote early on. But I'll announce here later this week when this poll will end.
In the meantime, thanks, and all the best!

Did you really... try and guess the ratings up to a thousandth? Never seen a sillier endeavour.

No, I understand that obviously, but I think it's futile and pointless... ya know, guessing.

Yes, guessing the exact points is pointless, but I think I'm into something when it comes to guessing the internal rank among the tracks in question. I think, based on the writings/reviews/reactions on this forum, that Will-o-the-wisp will be the highest ranked one, closely followed by An open mind and Decide. Wedding in Berlin will obviously get the lowest rank.Future Lover wrote: ↑Fri 06 Mar 2020, 11:40 am No, I understand that obviously, but I think it's futile and pointless... ya know, guessing.
