Poll begins on ranking the "Price trilogy" of albums
Poll begins on ranking the "Price trilogy" of albums
Hey there! I've launched a new poll for the week ahead, in which I'm asking you to rank all three albums of the Pet Shop Boys' "Stuart Price trilogy": Electric, Super, and Hotspot. In other words, please choose the one that you think is the best, the one "in the middle," and the one that is weakest. So when you're ready, please visit my "Commentary" site at http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and make your choices right there on my home page.
As I note there, choosing the "weakest" album doesn't mean you don't like or even love the it; it's just that you don't think it's quite as good as the other two. For instance, I love all three of these albums -- but I definitely have my favorite and least-favorite among them. Also please note that, although this survey will allow you to submit your vote without ranking all three, your vote will not be counted unless you do rank all three. So if you're not familiar with all three and feel unable to rank them all, I'm afraid this poll is not for you.
Thanks in advance, and I hope you all have a safe, healthy, and happy week ahead! Take care!

Looking forward to this one!

Electric is their weakest album, however Super and hotspot are much much better.

1. Electric (i'm not expecting Electric to win this poll but for me it is the album i still listen to in it's entirety from beginning to end even now, i played it in the car constantly all summer in 2013 and the songs fit perfectly together, the album caught me completely by surprise as i did not expect the boys to bring out album in this vein again,i love it)
2. Super - The next two poll positions are very difficult though, as both Super or Hotspot are not albums i have seen myself go back to unless it's to listen to specific tracks rather than the full album, so i will have to base it on comparing the two album's based on tracks i do go back to. I am drawn to the more danceable tracks from the boys so for me, when i first heard the albums the highlights for me were Burn and Will-O-The-Wisp but, for me, the other tracks are either 5's or 6's out of 10 and this could change on my mood at the time but if i had to pick a number 2 today it would be Super with Hotspot just a hair behind it
3. Hotspot - Like i said previously it is a nice album but not what i was expecting but i just haven't returned to it as much as i have with tracks from Super, i listened to the tracks continually for a couple of weeks expecting to be drawn in as is the norm for a PSB album for me but it just didn't happen as much as it did with Super, when i try and compare the songs i go back to on both albums, Into Thin Air, Inner Sanctum, Undertow and The Pop Kids with Happy People, Burning The Heather (which is excellent), Hoping For A Miracle or I Don't Wanna i think Super just shades the replayability for me.

Although on a different day, the top two could be swapped around. Both are right up there with Yes in terms of later day “up” albums that lift the spirits and drill catchy tunes into your brain. Gonna play ‘em again today…

1. Electric by a mile.
Super and Hotspot are much harder te rank.
At the moment Super get's second place closely followed by Hotspot. But that could change in about a week time.

Electric. With the others it’s like two bald men arguing over a comb.
They fight for the honour of worst PSB album.
One will win but it doesn’t matter
