Thought I'd double check about The Cure on www.officialcharts.com and also looked up New Order just to see how long World in Motion was number 1 for, apparently the artist name was actually englandneworder

I'm stunned that Depeche Mode never had a #1 single in the UK - I'd have put cold hard cash down on that.

Just goes to show that chart positions counted for very little even back in the 80's.

About, Call Me Maybe, I think it is one of the greatest pop songs of the last 20 years. Great melodies, awesome lyrics, a pop-masterpiece!

Get in! Never doubted it’d be number one - honest lol. But, fantastic. That haunting, euphoric, atmospheric opening never fails to make the hair on the back of my neck stand up, and takes me back very clearly to when I first heard it. Powerful, intelligent and enigmatic. Deserves to be number one!

Couldnt have said it better, It has the same effect and i get the same feelings, even after all these years.
