This might interest someone - I just came across this on my travels...

The number in brackets is the ranked position of total sales for each artist (if that makes any sense). Duets are not included.

Interesting stuff. So PSB sold 120,000 albums in 1996. I didn't think Bilingual sold that much but we have to remember that figure also includes sales of backcatalogue albums. I know Discography was loitering around outside the top 75 in summer/fall 96. The singles figure also seemed a little high (250,000 for Before, SAVE, and Single?) but then again single sales were much much higher back then.
