West End girls DJ Hell remix

#1 Post by Enrique »

Back on the Flamboyant era, this remix appeared on vinyl. I've realized DJ Hell CD Misch Masch includes the remix but I'd rather prefer having a PSB realease with it. Is it avalaible *on CD* in any proper PSB product? (besides acetates/promo/et al). I checked Steffen's Discography first!

I love this mix.......thought it was on one of the Flamboyant mix CD's along with the Scissor Sisters mix of Flamboyant itself - but I could be wrong!

That mix is good.
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

It's included on my Flamboyant Maxi cd. 3rd track. Chris Lowe on the cover.

Oh, no, no. I was wrong. The Dj Hell remix included is the Flamboyant one, not West End Girls. Chris Lowe still on the cover, though.

It's average at best. I don't dislike it, but it doesn't excite me, either.

I think it's the best version of West End girls actually; it's certainly my favourite version. I love how it stays true to the original but also being a great modern sounding electro track.

I think the Sasha mix sounds quite dated now... I loved if for ages, but it did nothing for me when I put it on the other day.

Mind you, that might say more about me than the Sasha mix...
