2. personal relationship with the song (sounds stupid i know, but some songs bring back memories, e.g. the first psb song you ever heard)

or was it basically "its a good song or a bad song or a mediocre song" ranking? ok i'll stop blabbering!

Honestly, I just did it intuitively in a matter of a few minutes and didn't think too much about it. Tomorrow the list might look different. I'd love to spend hours going through each song, but I just don't have the time!

Contrary to yours, my top twenty (an amalgam of first three albums) and bottom five are basically the same...my top five are almost glued...I should be sooooo happy (or too sick to care what I am listening) to listen my bottom five, a very generous act for me... I never play New York city boy or That's the Life when I am with my friends but I am almost unstoppable promoter/ advertiser of Discogrpahy. During my college years, I made four of my friends convert to PSB thanks to my sublime but ceaseless attacks. The Discography songs inspire and energize and motivate me. Although I listen to lots of music, including crap ones, only PSB songs make me believe life has some meaning in the end. Even New York city boy and That's the way should have some redeeming wisdom but I guess I will never be able to see it.

I'd like to do this but it's impossible. While the songs I like most stay pretty much the same, I can barely decide on my favourite ten let alone rank them.

Domino dancing is my favourite (probably and rather pathetically still influenced by the girl in the video/puberty ) and New York City Boy is probably my least favourite but I still like it a billion times more than anything Coldplay have ever or will ever do.

How can I separate Left to my own devices and Rent, for instance? They're both perfect pop singles.
