fantastic song regardless

So they're not Human because of something they do?
I don't agree with terrorists and terrorism but they are Human, just like you and me.

I agree. We don't have rights to judje anyone even if we deeply hate them and are strongly against what they do. A very brave song, great lyrics.

OMG really people they are terrorists!! Not somebody who steals food for a child or someone who gives their life for someone.
They kill to scare people so evil people can rule over innocent families. These people are the most evil people on the earth and they are not HUMAN

HUMAN
• of or characteristic of people's better qualities, such as kindness or sensitivity

Yes the are flesh and blood but they are rotten to the core so quit trying to romance their actions into anything more than MURDER

we call people inhuman all the time. its a legit word.its not like they change species but we do define people by behaviour.its what seperates us from animals. if one looks like a human yet say pushes whole families into a gas chamber to exterminate a whole race, well for me, they lost the right to be called human.
INDEED

What a load of bollocks!

Terrorism is evil, not terrorists!
They deeply believe in what they are doing is right, which is something to be admired IMO.
I'm not saying the act that they commit is admirable just the sheer will and determination of the said persons.

They deeply believe in what they are doing is right
So did Hitler

Oh, and he would have had the Pet Shop Boys executed for being themselves. Still, he was a 'great speaker'.

And so does George Bush bombing and invading whole countries, treating people worse than animals in Guantanamo, etc.

What's wrong and what's right is just a point of view.

Well, that's a bit simplistic.

I agree with you about Bush, he is a dangerous man, and not that bright (2 things that are pretty scary when put together)

But I do believe that there are universal thngs that can be catagorized as right or wrong, and going out and killing innocent people to advance your cause is one of those things that i would firmly put in the "wrong" catagory (and I am including the american government in that)

He was a great speaker

He put an incredible amount of passion into his speeches, it's hypnotic...

Of course because I think he was a great speaker I have to think what he did was great and I must be a Nazi. Moron.

Well... It's just a point of view. When Robespierre & others did the first acts of terrorism while in the French Revolution, it was because they thought it was right doing so. But they were killing people after all. And one could say that modern democracy was born because of this. It's not that easy to say that Robespierre did wrong, is it?

The First World can't pretend to exploit the rest of the world, make them live in poverty because this way we can take away all their richness (and/or share it with their corrupt governors), impose them dictatorships or even governments controlled by us (not by them), create wars among them so we can sell them weapons, bomb whole countries killing thousands of innocents in the way, finance terrorists to fight against our enemies... without any consequences.

It was just plain obvious that sooner or later some clever, bad people would take this resentment and make profit of it, to fight against a First World seen as the evil opressor. They really think they are doing the right thing... and it's not like they have much to lose in killing themselves. Of course it's wrong killing other people. But it's also wrong to exploit the Third World, condemn them to hunger, death, illness, extreme poverty as if they were no-humans without any rights or something.

I'm against what terrorists do. But at the same time, I can understand why someone would kill himself in a terrorist attack. Thinking that someone would sacrifice himself just because he is evil or mad, it's too simplistic and won't ever solve the problem.

Well, there certainly is a lot of inequity in the world and there is no easy solution. If the human race is ever to get past this, we will need to have a world where everyone has a share in all it's riches.

We will also need to find a way to stop the human tendancies toward violence against others.

The only problem is that this would entail getting rid of all countries and religions, which probably won't happen anytime soon. We will surely blow ourselves up way before that time.

LOL
I love how when people are trying to defend terrorists their only defense is to bring in Bush. Bush is a whole other topic we are talking about terrorists here. The fact is that they believe they are doing what is right but that is because they are sick and twisted. Just because I believe there is a delicious sandwich infront of me doesn't make it so as much as I want it to.

We're not trying to defend terrorists, but they ARE humans, like it or not, they deeply believe they do the right thing and they can't understand what they're doing. I hate them as any normal person but we can't judge them.
