God, there's some simplistic tripe being written! It's incredibly easy to point at an individual terrorist and label him/her as "evil", "twisted" or "sick". Terrorists are a product of a system; a system of appalling indoctrination by their leaders, borne of repression or resentment or religious fundamentalism and intolerance. They are the puppets of their leaders. To label all terrorists as "evil" is rather like labelling all Nazi soldiers in WW2 as being evil; was the whole male population of Germany transformed into a nation of evil soldiers ovenight in 1939? No, of course it wasn't.
If you want to label someone as "evil" point at the leaders (Bin Laden / Hitler, whoever), not at the foot soliders who have been manipulated into committing terrible acts in the name of a bogus cause. Are the US and British soldiers killing people in Iraq, "evil"?

Don't be a nitwit. Nobody is defending terrorists here.Pacific707 wrote:I love how when people are trying to defend terrorists their only defense is to bring in Bush.
But let's avoid the unthinking idiocy that infects some people when buzzwords are used. What is terrorism? George Washington was a terrorist to some.
Bush is responsible for the deaths of thousands of Iraqi civilians, including through the use of chemical and radioactive weapons. It's a gray issue and pretending it's not is moronic.Bush is a whole other topic we are talking about terrorists here.
