It's sounding more and more questionable the more I hear about it , but then again I've never been a fan of Fat Dancer, and this should probably go off topic since PSB are on one or two tracks. Come back Cicero, all is forgiven...

I've heard that Jo and Su from the League are doing some backtracking tracks, and Keith and Lily's involvment is chanting the racous' na na na' over one of the tracks. The plot thickens. I'm emailing them to confirm this...

Timberlake is not quaking in his boots I've been told.

And Brandon Flowers died not long after his interview for the PSB doc. It was ether from the shock of his reflection or listening to his demos. Still, they aren't quaking either.

Well, PSB have recorded TWO tracks for this project, so it's an on-topic, er, topic.

As for Justin Timberlake, I would have loved to see an agressive September 11 all-out war of the two former boyband stars - the two biggest male stars on the planet. I think RW may have just pipped the Trousersnake to the post, and as for The Killers, they will be thrashed! They've only had one album, admittedly a No.1 (like JT solo) but hardly compares with the track record of EMI's favourite cash cow:

Robbie Williams is the worlds biggest popstar outside of the US. Have you actually seen his usual first week album numbers?

Defining "fastest selling" as shifting most copies in a single week, the UK record goes to "Be Here Now" by Oasis which sold 663,389 copies in its first week on sale (1997).

Fastest seller by a solo artist is Dido's "Life For Rent" (400,351 copies, 2003). Robbie Williams' "Intensive Care" is fastest seller for a male artist (373,832 in 2005). "Spiceworld" by The Spice Girls (1997) sold 192,000 copies in its first week on sale, making it the fastest seller by an all-girl group. Fastest selling debut album is "Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not" by The Arctic Monkeys (363,735 copies, 2006).

BTW, I've managed to hear Robbie's Lovelight. It's not the ABBA cover after all, and RW sings it like he's got his balls stuck in a vice. Cool tune though.

I'm looking forward to this project if only for the fact that I didn't like the road Robbie went down with "Intensive Care." It's different, so it will most likely be panned whether or not it's good. But I look forward to seeing where this is going.

Emailing who? Are the 'backtracking tracks' for the songs where they deny ever saying anything at all?

Yeah RW has been selling over 300,000 in the first week for quite a few years now. JT by comparison is a pale-faced ugly little Jacko impersonator.

Popstar Robbie Williams has reportedly delayed the release of his latest album after realising that the scheduled release date would coincide with Justin Timberlake's new project.

The original schedule would mean that the ex-Take That singer's album 1974 and Timberlake's FutureSex: Love Sounds were both due to be released on September 11th.

However, Robbie has now said that he will release his album in early October, although it has been reported that the Feel singer may face stiff competition from The Killers with their second album release.

"Taking on Timberlake would have been madness but The Killers will still provide some serious competition," a source told the Sun.

Why is it off topic? Because *you* don't like Robbie Williams?

Sooner or later we will see if these song titles are indeed true. I can't see why anyone would post fake tracklistings.

I knew he was very popular here in the UK and quite popular in Europe/outside of the UK but I didn't think he was that popular. Good for him.

Whoah there! Don't think I said anything about 'fake tracklistings'. In fact there's some truth in a number of the tracks posted.. Far be it from me to ever suggest that people have posted fake tracklistings before or even implausible fake reviews on this forum.

As for Fat Dancer, his he in the Pet Shop Boys? So therefore it's an off topic subject, no? Yes, he has links with the Boys on this album, so perhaps we can focus Fat Dancer threads to the said songs. And you can start a Fat Dancer appreciation thread in off topic since you care so much about him.

I'm sorry you can't deal with the fact that I find that an ex-fat dancer from a boyband with a track record for bland and yet popular inoffensive music, somewhat questionable. At least you know where you are with Freddie Starr.

He has 'links' to the PSB?

Erm, the album in question has more than 'links', it has two songs produced by PSB, one of which is a new duet co-written by them and the cover is a tribute to PSB previously recorded by the boys. Slightly more than 'links' wouldn't you say?

I don't recall threads about Ono, Madonna, Rammstein, Pete Burns etc being off-topic, because the records in question contained music mixed, produced or written by PSB. Same here. Once you have stopped acting like the prissy unofficial anti-RW forum policeman you'll have to accept that it's natural for people to also talk about other aspects of the record or artist in question as well, which is exactly like conversations in general go when you're with people

He has tons of "links" to PSB and I'm afraid if you only want to know about the two songs with PSB then you will just have to search for the info you require and ignore the rest. We have touched a raw nerve. It's a first that a troll has something sort of 'serious' to say. It's JUST my opinion. It's OK to disagree with it. But I did have some valid points.

RW links to PSB? Erm... yes. Is he in the Pet Shop Boys, have they produced a full or even half an album like Liza or Dusty...nothing more than links then is it? (I'll avoid the emoticon rolling eyes) You really refuse to understand it, don't you? His links are a little more significant than JSP or Faghag Madge, but not much more.
