That well known ars*hole, sorry well respected, finger on the pulse journalist from the Sun has said Rudebox is the worst record ever made.

She's quite right! Along with SexyBack (never heard of a space Justin?) by Justin Timberlake they're the two worst songs of 2006 so far, just awful.DazzerUKUK wrote:That well known ars*hole, sorry well respected, finger on the pulse journalist from the Sun has said Rudebox is the worst record ever made.

Madge
The official site seems to be enjoying "arousing tabloid controversy" over She's Madonna:
"The subject matter of one of the two Robbie Williams/Pet Shop Boys collaborations on Robbie's forthcoming album is discussed in today's Daily Mirror. Click on the link to read more."
http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/
It looks like PSB have confirmed both their tracks are on the Rudebox74 album then, and they're not denying the subject matter of She's Madonna either. Why couldn't they have just called it She's Madge and be done with it? Ho hum
PS I am really enjoying the Roland Rat-rapathon that is Rudebox.

Just got on the rudebox site, cool site except you can't read any of the categories so you just have to click randomly. I found the Rudebox mixes page. I like the song, can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

I must say that I really like Rudebox. It's daring, 40+ year olds will hate it and the chorus is very infectious. Could affect album sales negatively, but this should be another big hit single.

He compares Rudebox to Music and Slow, which I think it a fair comparison. Only Rudebox is clearly better than either of those two records - that's where he got it wrong.DazzerUKUK wrote:That well known ars*hole, sorry well respected, finger on the pulse journalist from the Sun has said Rudebox is the worst record ever made.

Excuse me. Im 40+ and I like it too. The Casio keyboard beat brings back lots of memories of Trio......and of course it will go to number 1.BlueSwan wrote:I must say that I really like Rudebox. Have you got shell-toes and fat laces mate?DazzerUKUK wrote:Thanks. I am exceptional.
It's a great tune IMHO - the sort of thing Robbie can get away with these days - I can't think of too many others who could have pulled it off (If you'll excuse the wording!).

Rudebox is ridiculous. Like so many of his upbeat songs, it sounds like a novelty record. The lyrics are guaranteed to appeal to 14 year old kids as it seems to be written by a 14 year old kid. I can hear the infectious aspects of the song but this is one of those tracks that's tired and embarrassing after two months.

It's still catchy and infectious.
And I'm sure most of what you said, you were saying about Rock DJ too. And I'm STILL enjoying that!!
sometimes, you can just FEEL the ROBBIE hatred trying to penetrate your pc screen.
I think the title 'Male Madonna' suits Robbie for obvious reasons.
