Hey there. Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I got my copies of the single on Saturday at my fave import shop in NYC (they get UK product in the Saturday before the Monday UK release) and the track listing is mixed up -- It says #2 is Bright Young Things and #3 is Party Song -- but it plays in reverse order.

Anyone else notice that??

Am i wrong in thinking that they were gonna do this with Pete Burns of Dead or Alive??
It sounds like it was done with him in mind, very similar in style to Jack and Jill party.
It would explain the "thats the way" lyrics.

Does anybody know when Party Song was recorded? They haven't given this information this time.

And can anybody post the times of all the bonus tracks?

:)

I'm really liking Party Song and the new version of Bright Young Things. I think Neil & Chris could have missed an opportunity for a double A side with Party Song. I actually think Party Song could well have been the song to get them back into air play.

I still love Numb though and the demo version is just superb!!!!

I would also like to know this. From the sound of it, I'd say 2003.

Is the CD2 back cover really missprinted (I mean the track order)?

Thanks for the timings ! (aka jigsaw)

I also think PARTY SONG must be from 2003 sessions as there is a lack of information of what was recorded then.

Each day more songs from that period are surfacing and what at first seemed that only a few songs were written for POPART now we know they did an album worth of demos:

Bright Young Things
The Party's Over Now
Flamboyant
Miracles
Casanova In Hell
Luna Park
Numb
For Every Moment
Baby
Jack And Jill Party
Blue On Blue
Party Song

...and a few more for sure!

You're welcome :)

BYT was written/recorded for the film though, wasn't it? Not PopArt.

Yes.

Numb (PSB Original Demo)
Bright Young Things
Party Song
Numb (Video)

Tracks 2 & 3 are the wrong way round!

Bright Young Things is track 3 & Party Song is track 2

So is the tracklisting the wrong way round on the case or are the CD tracks placed the wrong way round?
Attitudes are materialistic
