I'm sure George was thrilled that the article hed was "Homecoming Queen".

Not all gay people like to be called queens. I can easily see George as one of those.

I think calling every gay person a queen is insulting and thoughtless.

That statement sounds as if you are ashamed to be gay

Yet another piece of trash, written by the same author who spread the lie about Neil Tennant being irritated by Robbie Williams' behaviour during recording sessions.

Followed by his usual way of pathetic attention-seeking on this forum. If people don't react on the first post, post the same picture as a new topic elsewhere, if that doesn't work either, ask a friend like Technotrancemix to post a comment in the topic. It's all so familiar, it's all so sad, it's all so sick. Get therapy.

Steve Pafford, the writer of the article, used to be a Big boy member of this very forum.

That bloody Bigboy gets everywhere - I guess all that time him cruising online and being George's Gaydar buddy paid off eh? He gave him tickets for as many shows as he wanted.

The rewards for being able to w@nk off a superstar eh?

In what way is this feature trash? It's well written, full of praise (for PSB too) and, from what I hear, the author actually left out a lot of the more scandalous goings on backstage, largely because he was involved!

If I was a gayboy, I'd probably be proud and wouldn't mind people calling me names like faggot because it would be what I would be if I was gay. Be proud of yourself. I get called Polak all the time but some people would see it as racist. So bloody what? I am a Polak and proud and there's nothing racist about it!

You have missed the point here shown by your comparison with POLAK.

Queen + faggot can have vastly subjective diif meanings ie fag refers to any male having sex with another male while queen can be seen as a behavioural subcatagory - a gay man who is effeminate, affected in manner etc etc - surely anyone who sees such behaviour as a misrepresntation of their character can fairly object????

As for your ridiculous (imo) association of pride and sexuality i expect this is just (brainwashing from the pro-gay lobby(though its useful as a tool for helping those badly scarred from homophobia).Logically you should also have a pride in your different/minority desires of taste - its basically POSITIVE PREJUDICE.eg I have chronic/lifelong mental illness which also faces prejudice and ignorance from the general population BUT I DON'T HAVE PRIDE In IT -what NONSENSE! -in an objective sense its simply part of my existence which happens to be in a minority w.r.t the whole population's conciousness. Not having pride in such things,of course, does not mean stopping the fight against inequality, ignorance + prejudice....

Additionaly if people have been (severly) bullied by specific terms like queen ,fag etc then such terms may sub-consciously still cause significant subjective grief long after the time of the event so that the objection to such terms seems incongruent in emotional intensity even if objectively the term is only a description of that (prejudiced) trait. A bit like different generations subjective opinion to younger peoples frequent use of swearing as expletives in everyday conversation.
