According to some sources the new European single will be She is Madonna except in France where the single will be Bongo Bongo and it's almost confirmed.

Sounds like you're repeating my post on page 3. Who are these sources? And what makes you think it's almost confirmed?

Great cover, by the way! I listened to it for about 15 times yeaterday -it sounds great!
Yes it's great but french words at the half of song are unnecessary :/

My thoughts exactly...great cover but I don't care much for the last part.

Why not? :) It starts great and the ending is good as well. Honestly, I was never obsessed with the original song even when it was on TV, radio - everywhere. But now regarding Robbie I understand that this song is brilliant! And in this case I don't care about show bussiness or whatever. I simply love it.

Beside "Cannot Hide"? :D
I'm fully agree with Fargo - very good cover! Although I'm not obsessed with it, but sounds much better than original.
Favourite song from this album - Keep On.
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

So as far as I can tell from reading other posts/threads:

Neil said last month she's Madonna is the next single

The Sun is always saying She's Madonna is the third single

The website ukmix.org is now saying She's Madonna is the next single, despite initially alleging it was 80s

Certain radio stations are playing She's Madonna quite a lot

Robbie does a skit in drag with She's Madonna in the background

Is She's Madonna the next single perhaps?

From the German forum:

"New Singles in 2007
Source: EMI
Saturday, 16 December 2006
It is now confirmed that there will be two more videos and singles for the album "rudebox". France will work on Bongo Bong while most other European countries will release "She's Madonna". There are rumours that Rob might appear at the one or other big TV show in the first quarter of 2007. Also 2007 will see the release of a new Swing Album which Rob has been working on for the past few months.

LATEST UPDATE: Bongo Bong will not be released as a commercial single anymore. "She's Madonna" will come out in March. The artist is NOT expected to do any promotion. Videos do however exist. Merry Christmas!"
"John 3:16."
