Just managed to track down the latest UK Airplay chart and She's Madonna is at #37 up from #41. Looks like UK radio are pretty much ignoring it then!

The UK chart result of She's Madonna will mainly be based on sales of the 3 physical formats. A top 10 hit is pretty likely. Rudebox made #4, Lovelight #8. She's Madonna will gain some additional sales, since loyal PSB fans will buy their copies. It's also - generally - considered one of the best songs on the album.

I won't be surprised if it hits Top 5 in the UK.

But exactly the same could be said about Read My Mind – it's also a third single from an album released 5 months ago. But still it was #61 two weeks before its release and #29 a week before on downloads only. And still the physical release lifted the track only to #15. Take That's Shine was #10 on a week before the physical release.

I predict that She's Madonna will be a big flop. It won't enter Top 20, I'm willing to bet on that. The fact that Rudebox isn't in the album top 75 is a clear sign – if the single was doing its job properly, usually the album starts to climb about two weeks before the physical release when the airplay starts to bring in new buyers. I love the song, so I take no pleasure in being negative.

The first CD and the DVD lists Neil as "C. Tennant", and the remix CD lists him as "N. Tenant" ...

And the sound (particularly Robbie's vocals) on the second CD is atrocious on my copy ...

Jesus, you would think EMI would know what their names are by now.

i guess the excitement of having 3 big names on a release name Robbie, Madonna and whoarethey Pet Shop Boys, might have led them onto this lapse.. after all, N.T. is just HALF the PSB.. the other part is C.Lowe innit

On the couple of occasions I have heard it on Radio 1 they have only credited it to Robbie Williams as well.

I think the single *will* hit the UK Top 20. It might not be a smash hit, it might not get the airplay it deserves, but the number of physical sales will be enough for a Top 20-hit and in fact I don't even rule out Top 10.

If you go to polyhex.com and check out results of Robbie Williams singles, you will see that only one single (Sin Sin Sin) missed the Top 20, charting at #22. And face it: the singles from that album weren't really hit potential.

She's Madonna *does* have hit potential. It's going to sell better than Sin Sin Sin, because many loyal PSB fans will also buy the cd-singles. So the single has to sell *really* poor NOT to hit the UK Top 20.

But have you been following the UK charts lately? After the inclusion of downloads getting to top 20 is now much much harder than it was a year ago. Like Sin Sin Sin, She's Madonna is a third single and it's from a very poorly received album. My estimate is that it will peak between #21-#25. But we'll see soon enough.
