The Kris Menace remix is almost really really amazing..Its a f--king great remix

Don't get us started on the 'Never Touch That Switch' remixes...Why there ok

If this is the last single from 'Rudebox' and if Robbie's next move is to record another bloody 'swing' album then it is YOUR fault for not buying this single and the blood is NOT on our hands."
Yes true get out there and buy it all 3 releases..

What would have been good is if Robbie had done this with the Pet Shop Boys at the Brits and THEN disappeared on a revolving stage to be replaced by The Killers to perform their 'Read My Mind' remix with the Pet Shop Boys, and if THEN The Killers had swivelled out of view to be replaced by Madonna to do her Pet Shop Boys remix of 'Sorry'. That would have been literally quite good.

If this had happened it would have been bigger than the Berlin Wall coming Down ..

The song in my head is currently Dune with "I Can't Stop Raving"...

Reason: I can't stop raving about the Dutch chart positions of She's Madonna.

In the official Mega Top 50 it went from 33 to 4, last Saturday...

Just in: the third week result in the second important chart, the Top 40.

After entering at 36, climbing to #10... it's now at..

If it wasn't for the latest Idols show (winner's single enters at #1), Robbie and the Pets would have a #1 hit in the Netherlands now.

I really like the Kris Menace mix. The single was actually sold out in HMV in Leeds this afternoon!

Chris Lake mix is awful
The Kris Menace is bloody great
Never Touch that Switch is one of my favourite album tracks but tossed away with that Switch' remix.

Sadly I dont think Sh'e Madonna will do the business - that video wont help either

I went to three stores that sold singles yesterday and none of them had anything other than the 2-track CD, so I ended up just going back to work and ordering all three formats from HMV online.

All of them were despatched within about 3 hours anyway, so they're winging their way...

The Kris Menace mix is amazing! It's one of the best tracks I've heard all year.

The Chris Lake mix, on the other hand is so throwaway it's not funny.

She may be Madonna, but she ain't gonna get Mr Williams that much-needed No 1...

Robbie Williams' career crisis is deepening with his latest single looking likely to be his biggest flop.

'She's Madonna' - which has been touted as one of the standout tracks from the album 'Rudebox' - is sitting at a lowly No 17 in the midweek charts, despite being available on CD and as a download.

The Pet Shop Boys-penned track hasn't suffered from a lack of press either - it bagged all the wrong kind of headlines after footage of the accompanying video leaked.

In the promo Robbie dresses as a (bad) transvestite and talks about himself in the third person.

In the past month of course, the singer has also embarked on a highly publicised stint in rehab after admitting a caffeine, nicotine and prescription drug addiction.

What will also undoubtedly add salt to the wounds is that his old bandmates, Take That, are certs to hold on to the No 1 spot with their single 'Shine', this week.

Their other single 'Patience' which has been in the charts for 17 weeks meanwhile, is just one spot behind 'She's Madonna' at No 18.

Just don't look, Robbie...

The chart performance of She's Madonna in the UK has absolutely *nothing* to do with the quality of the song, nor with the effect of PSB being involved, despite the often posted 'curse' theories on the Proboards forum.

There's a general atmosphere of negativism surrounding Robbie at the moment. It's currently NOT COOL to like him. Initial 'underdogs' Take That are doing very well with their bland-as-ever throwaway songs, and apparently the general music audience has some kind of passion for underdogs.

Like Eldritch pointed out elsewhere, the NME award for Rudebox being the 'worst album' is very hypocrite. That music magazine apparently rewarded the album 8 out of 10. It's another piece of evidence: it's currently not cool to like Robbie, no: it's currently cool to NOT-LIKE Robbie.

Below is a post I made on the UKmix.org forums. It reflects my feelings about She's Madonna, so I can also post it here integral:

I really don't understand all the negativism surrounding She's Madonna. If the song is not going to chart well on Sunday, it certainly can't be blamed on the quality of the song. It's apparently fashionable not to like Robbie anymore, and to prefer the bland, meaningless crap by Take That.

In fact I *do* think the song will enter within the UK Top 20. If Robbie fans won't buy the cd-singles, Pet Shop Boys fans *will*. Their combined effort will probably be enough for a Top 20 entry.

Shockingly, She's Madonna is doing extremely well in the Dutch charts! If you consider this as a Pet Shop Boys single as well (and the sleeve DOES say so), it's their biggest hit in 20 years here!

She's Madonna climbed from 33 to 4 in the official Mega Top 50, and it's even at #2 in the other chart, the Top 40. A great result. And forgive me for saying it, but I find all the negativism about Robbie in the UK pretty pathetic.

In general I feel the idea of voting for the worst album totally absurd. It's valid to have a poll for the best album of the year, because every voter has listened to the albums s/he likes probably tens of times and has got to know them well enough to know which one of them s/he likes best. But why would anybody (who doesn't have a review to write) listen to an album he doesn't like more than once – or even once? So the people who voted for Rudebox as the worst album of the year did it most likely on the "strength" of Rudebox-single and based on the current consensus that it's fun to give Robbie a good kicking. And even if Rudebox was a terrible album (which it definitely is not), one could still be sure that there would be hundreds of even worse albums released on small death metal labels – we just haven't heard them or even of them, for a very good reason.

Oh, apparently NME don't have the original grades on their site anymore. So the 6/10 rating you see after the review is one voted by the users, not the original 8/10 given by the magazine. The metacritic web site page however still refers to the 8/10 rating:

'She's Madonna' chart position will be affected by lack of any promotion due to RW's absence, the fact that most people who want it will already have it on the album and RW being a bit unfashionable at present, caused partially by two "off centre" albums. What the public want from Robbie is another 'Angels' (just like some PSB fans want another Its A Sin, Go West or Always on My Mind).

Since when have TT been underdogs? Their fanbase never went away, there has always been an affection for what they do - churning out likeable pop nonsense and putting on a good show. Good luck to them!
