I agree, but does Parlophone?singysingysingy wrote:"may ....at some point" so why this hesitation? It's a great pop song, bring it on and make many fans and non fans happy....greenmile wrote:On the interview they gave on Radio 2 about 1/2 an hour ago, Chris said that Integral may now be a single at some point.Along with good remixes and probably an unreleased song the cd single will sell like crazy!
What is really now the situation with 'Integral'?

Yeah he wasn't literally saying that they were playing ALL their songs from West End girls to Integral so may be that was what you misunderstood. He just wanted to say that they were playing songs from all their different eras. Otherwise it would have been quite a long concert I guess lol

and I'd say that SODOM was another INCREDIBLE potential single which end up not being released.dVTB wrote:It's no longer doubtful that Integral will be single, it's totally out of the question. The final chance to release it was when they started the European leg of their current tour. Integral could have coincided with the release of Cubism. The latter is already out; a 4th single more than a year after Fundamental is now irrelevant, unfortunately. Yet another PSB album where the potential wasn't used.
Neil Tennant has a great voice, Chris Lowe has great silence.

That's a possibility.Maybe EMI is thinking about a re-edition of Fundamental with some new contents like happened fo Bilingual... It's not unusual today that artists make re-edition of thier album one year later the first release (Shakira, Beyoncé, for example...)
Why not release Integral as a download-only single/ bundle package with extra new songs?
Ok, so PSB haven't had a great history thus far with digital releases but if they put together a decent digi-ep - Integral (single remix)/ new track/ new track/ Integral (F**k off great house remix), and promote it properly (at least Ken Bruce will play it), it could be worth a pop. No physical release means no expense means no brainer for Parlophone.

Neil said thus:Flaffer wrote:why so sure about Ring Road?

Finished "Ring road".
Neil: It'll probably be a b-side. It's a sort of rock song, really.
"Rock song"... yum-yum
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

doesn't mean anything really, when they write finished a song doesn't mean it is anywhere near being finally recorded, if this was the case there would be tonnes of stuff just waiting for release, no further work required.
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.
