Oh dear, oh dear. I can make a playlist bar the PSB Integral mix of this tracklisting already, this isn't exactly how I envisioned Disco 4. Why don't they just go the whole hog and get Rampling to mix it altogether ? Huzzah for Disco 2.5

Its nice that, according to the OS, Neil and Chris were keen to collect their remixes of other artists on one CD. But, good heavens, they didn't have to actually release the damn thing.

Track list is awful and no single to, what a waste.

PSB Perfect Immaculate mix sounds bigheaded :P if it's that perfect why the hell not release the track what most psb fans want released of all time.

They could release them and I for one would buy that disc - but not as a part of Disco series! Where's China? Ring Road? Dirty Tricks? etc? Release them with some remixes from some cool dudes so everyone would be happy, but this is just ghastly.

I can't see the logic in this release at all. Even many die-hard PSB fans won't feel the need to buy this. Critics will pan it, and frankly as a sequence of music I don't think it will stand up very well -- mixes that are individually quite good won't necessarily add up to anything compelling. The Boys may hope that fans of the various acts included will buy the thing, but I can't see that happening: would Killers fans really want a 45-minute hi-NRG remix album when they can just buy the "Read my mind" single? Madonna fans might be more interested, but they too can just buy the CD single of "Sorry." And so many of these mixes were released recently enough that they are common as muck! Even the Bowie mix from '96 is now commonly available on the deluxe edition of Outside.

Who exactly is the intended market for this? (I wish they had at least included the Superstar mix of "Hooked on Radiation," which would have been something I don't have. Instead we get the bloomin' Orange Alert mix that's already on CD!)

I actually put together a little compilation together myself a few months ago...

"Pet Shop Boys Remixer"...

01 Atomizer - Hooked On Radiation (PSB Superstar Mix)
02 Madonna - Sorry (Pet Shop Boys Maxi Mix)
03 Bloodhound Gang - Mope (Pet Shop Boys 7 Inch Remix)
04 Fat Les - Jerusalem 2000 (Pet Shop Boys Remix)
05 The Killers - Read My Mind (Pet Shop Boys Stars Are Blazing Mix)
06 Yoko Ono - Walking On Thin Ice (Pet Shop Boys Extended Mix)
07 Kiki Kokova - Love To Love You Baby (Pet Shop Boys Vocal Remix)
08 Blur - Boys and Girls (Pet Shop Boys Remix)
09 Rammstein - Mein Teil (Pet Shop Boys You Are What You Eat Edit Remix)
10 Pete Burns - Jack And Jill Party (Pet Shop Boys Mix)
11 David Bowie & Pet Shop Boys - Hallo Spaceboy (Pet Shop Boys Extended Mix)
12 Atomizer - Hooked On Radiation (Pet Shop Boys Orange Alert Mix)
13 Bloodhound Gang - Mope (Pet Shop Boys Extended Remix)

78 Mins in total !!! Much better than DISCO 4 !!!! :(

That's a bit harsh. It may not be a exciting tracklisting (though I'm happy with it) but to say 4 is the new 2 is going too far

I just hate the fact that it seems so cynical to dangle the carrot of the exclusive Integral mix amongst these other tracks that are commonly available. But you're right in one sense, I'd have more respect and time for the compilation if it wasn't part of the Disco series and it didn't have just one exclusive mix and a more consistent tracklisting.

It seems after expecting something along the lines of Disco 3, which was a treat, this is a big letdown.
