Do you have any plans to release a PSB CD singles box set?

Neil: Yes, we do - well, we dont have a plan but we sort of vaguely think we'll do it at some point. What I think we'd like to do is make a CD of every single with every remix on it. I think with some of them you might have to make a double CD set. It would be a great mad project to do that with every single, with every remix including the ones we didn't release at the time. Even though some of them may be incredibly boring. It would be an incredible archive. Maybe we'll call it that: Pet Shop Boys Archive.
Chris: Well, I wonder if it will happen. Before the CD is extinct.

Having had the splendid opportunity to be at the Mermaid Theatre performance, I can tell you that NOTHING will ever come close to the spine tingling feeling of watching them perform with a full orchestra !nickname wrote:It's the most stupid thing I've heard in many years. What about the same thing but with new songs?.
To be playing some of their best tracks, obviously lovingly reworked for the occasion, would be a concert that is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Absolutely. According to a quick Google search, the Albert Hall has a capacty of between 3091 and 5122. So at say £75 per ticket, that would gross between £230,000 and £384,000. Enough for a one-off concert? Could they be bothered with all the effort for one night? Could us hard-core fans fill it? Why are all so angry with the new releases? Call me a stupid fan but I'm so happy to receive something for the Boys. There are so many young fans that could not buy the old singles when they released it so a Singles Box would be welcome.
And a b-side concert is a great idea: one night only to listen some great tracks gone forgotten 'cos they're not been singles. And played by an orchestra feat. PSB: great. For the further listenings and Alternative 2: it seems that there are a lot of people that wanted them, where aare they now? I'm still lookin' forward to it.

That concert is a wonderful idea, I would definitely go to that! And Chris' setlist is incredible - loads of my favourites. Even better in the Albert Hall with an orchestra too! That would be one of the most exciting and interesting concerts ever, I hope they do do that or something like it at some point.

Without a doubt!.....if they can fill Brixton Academy etc then i'm pretty sure there is 5,500 hard core PSB fans that would pay the money to see it, you would also get lots of people from Europe coming over for it!Suburban_Boy wrote:Absolutely. We've been waiting for so long...I agree with One of the crowd about possible reason why it would be released in US only, but maybe they should release it at first in US with coincided release FL reissues in UK, then - release "Alternative 2" in Europe as limited edition?

And, Chris - don't forget about single from "Alternative 2"!
