Everyone has the right to speak their opinions. I personally think, most kids will have premarital sex and I rather teach them to be safe rather than tell them not to do it. I don't find it immoral. I do find immoral taking a life away with abortion.
We should all tolerate other people's opinions a bit better.

I watched both Obamas and McCains speeches. Loved Obamas, hated McCains. I thought McCains speech had the usual vulgar "patriotric" vile that republican speeches always have and which makes me sick, quite frankly. Obamas speech, on the other hand, was classy.

there are a people who dont understand what it is to be proud of ones country.its nothing personal, but there are people who live in countrys and thru whatever reason, it doesnt inspire in them a feeling of identity with their fellow people or leaders.

I must admit I don't know much about who Obama used to hang out with, but I wasn't talking about McCain being a fake patriotic, I just thought that maybe that's what people thought when they typed the word patriotic between " ". It was just another theory next to the one you had about non Americans and their lack of patriotism. I can tell Bush jr definitely uses the word patriotism in a phony way, he hasn't done much good for his country.

If a group was overtly right wing in what they said and did and in the message of a large proportion of their songs, they most certainly wouldn't be among my favourites. It wouldn't stop me from liking the odd song, but for sure I wouldn't be calling myself a fan and posting on their messageboard.

I'll always like a good tune, but for me the lyrics need to speak to me in order for me rank an artist among my favourites. I fail to see how this could be interpreted as being "stuck in the mud." It simply means that the meaning behind a song is more important to me than just the music.
