some people its true wont vote for a black guy because of his race. but MANY MANY have. the problem is, alot of voters correctly wont vote for THIS black man.

you cant ignore his past with anti-american/white radicals. you cant pick and choose your canadaites past. its there for all to see.its factors in. macain is a pilot who fought for his country and suffered for it. it factors in.

dems and liberals are blowing it once again with their hostile personalitys.

we need lame-o hotheads like deschanels calling us names , we need weirdos like that european dude with the crazy hair on MTV music award show basically telling americans they are stupid if they dont vote for Obama. intimidation tactics.

we need every outspoken actor and entertainer to tell americans uh haw haw..how they should vote.

we need women like the one that took advantage of Mcain by turning a picture of him into a vampire with blood dripping from fangs and laughing how she took advantage of his staff.

all this gets drilled into middle america's heads. the rantings of the left.they see, how can he possibly be president material if this lot are for him. it's not skin color.you just backed the wrong horse and went about it badly.

thats why...if that continues...its in the bag baby! basically we need more deschanel is what I'm trying to say.

I apologise for my tone ; I was a bit cross the other night.

Glen my attitudes to the far right is also about what happened here in Oz.

We got a right wing conservative government that used racism, lies and tricks on a weekly
basis for 11 years. We led in renewable industry (Solar panels and Wind turbines).
That government set out to destroy that industry so the world would buy our coal.
That government led Bush in stopping the Kyoto treaty.
That government encouraged China to build 300 coal fired power stations.

This is the land where after years of daily anti-Muslim hatred from the government and press, we had the Cronulla Riots.

That government was talking up the invasion of Iraq to Bush, while bribing Saddam
with $US to buy our wheat.

That government squandered our taxes like crazy socialists sending inflation out of control.

This was the worlds #2 neo Conservative government.
It was ugly and shameful.
And that's why I don't trust the far right.

UK citizens take note : make sure this does not happen to you.

Glenn, get it together. Look at all the incredibly stupid, shallow things you're saying there.

Oh, "this isn't the right black man" you'd ever vote for? You're so full of bullshit and brain-dead right wing talking points, it's scary.

Because there are millions of people out there just like Glenn in the US. McCain is half on life-support, shaking his gnarled fist and promising more war, with Russia, Iran, Spain- whomever!
He is demonstrably senile, a hideous liar, clueless about economics- yet people like Glenn will still vote for him. And they'll say it's because they have reservations about Obama's pastor 25 years ago.

No, it's because you won't ever vote for a black man. Just be upfront and admit it, Glen. No one believes this bullshit about pastors. Name one positive thing about McCain.

McCain probably will win, and Glenn here is Exhibit A as to why. Racism, and the endlessly pumped hate radio that Americans are subjected to, that liberalism is a sick moral evil equivalent to Nazism. I'm not exaggerating. The "culture wars" is one tong of how Republicans win elections- hate thy neighbor. They deal in white resentment and blame, but the blame is always directed at the "other". Gays, feminists, environmentalists, liberals, Democrats are demonized daily by malevolent idiots. And certain people eat it up.

Meanwhile, the Republicans behind the financial collapse, the Iraq war of choice, the torture and secrecy, the obscene tax breaks for the rich- they get off scot-free. The middle and working classes in the US are bearing he costs, and they're fairly stressed to the limit.

What do they do? Vote Republican, the authors of their own economic elimination. Why? Because republicans will make the issues about abortion, or gay marriage. They are masters at deflecting attention from their evil, they get the masses riled over things that have nothing to do with them, mostly.

Glen, go enjoy your vote for McCain, though somehow I suspect you'll probably be too drunk or stoned to actually vote.

I cant tell you if its racism or not with voters. I dont have that all knowing knowledge.

I can tell you a couple things though about Obama ...his background friendships were and are very radical for a guy running for the united states whitehouse.

and its sinking him when his character is compared with a fighter piliot flag waving POW.

and the dems are once again allowing the pitbulls of the left in the entertainment world to blow it for them again with their vicious attacks that do nothing but turn off people who are on the fence.

and yes I can name one positive thing about mcain.... his background isnt killing him.

The thing is Glenn, McCain's pastor and Palin's pastor have said and done some pretty dodgy things too. How come you let them get off scott free?

Sooner or later you need to start judging people for what they are and what they do rather than what their friends might be.

One thing that angers me is hypocrisy (I don't mean you Glen).

But judge the Republicans for this. They ruthlessly lied to tear down
John Kerry's war record.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swift_Vets ... _for_Truth

While Gerge W Bush avoided Vietnam service by getting daddy to hide him in
the Texas Air National Guard.

Now they play up McCains record.
Yet the Democrats refuse to stoop to tit-for-tat behaviour.

There lying to you America. They've been lying to you for 45 years.

Attacks on Kerry's war record were shameful, but the Republicans will - literally - do anything to win.

It's classic Karl Rove tactics. Rove's idea is that you attack your opponent's strengths, rather than their weaknesses. Hence why Kerry - a bona fide war hero with three Purple Hearts - saw a glorious and heroic army career become a negative, rather than a positive.

We're seeing it again with Obama. One of Obama's strengths is his youth, charisma and wide-ranging appeal, so the Republicans turn that into "Obama is a celebrity with no substance or experience". It's real below-the-belt stuff, but it works because so many Americans are dumb enough to swallow it.

actually if one were to bring up racism, look no farther than african-americans in this case.
Whites in droves are voting for Obama, look how well he is doing.race is not an issue for your adverage white american so much.

contrast that with african-aemricans and the clintons. for years they were the champions of the african american community and now they get dropped the minute an african american comes on the scene. not only that, they started calling clinton a racist of all people which he totally isnt.

not to mention any african-american that chooses to be a republican is slandered as a traitor or an "uncle tom".

yes, deschanel is right, there is racism involved.

if your right, IMO quite frankly, if the dems are so helpless and lost against the republicans tactics, well then screw em.seriously, babes in the woods?

and the republicans are doing everythign to win? well of course they are. at stake isnt a assistant manager position at WAL-MART, its the US presidency.

the dems are doing the exact same thing. anything. normally they are the team fighting for female empowerment.yet against palin they are asking why she isnt at home with her kids essencially instead of running for office.

me personally I dont care who wins, I really dont like either.

We are fighting and dying in Afghanistan for your stupidity while you raced off to grab oil in Iraq.

The people of third world countries will suffer terribly this century.

Oh yes, your answer is to sell them uranium.
Thank you conservative pawns. Enjoy your Exxon dividends. You did have shares in Exxon didn't you ?

Conservatives argued for deregulation. Now America is bankrupt and the neo-conservative government is stooping to socialism to save it.

sorry gregf, but your drivel shows you up for what you are: a kook communist fascist. America is bankrupt because under Jimmy Carter there was this program introduced called "community development" i.e. banks were forced to give credits to people who could not afford to pay back loans! it was continued by the clinton administration where janet reno threatened legal action if banks did not give risky loans! so now the perpetrators of this mess want to take over the banking business after they have wrecked it! the reason we have this mess is TOO MUCH regulation.
but you are just a deluded kook, gregf and a communist supporter. you may not like the communist tag but it applies to you and your asinine hogwash 100%! you are a dangerous liar and demagogue. YOU are talking about the individual and at the same time supporting communism that paved the way for Hitler and collectivism?!!! you must be off your meds. i seriously believe that communism is a mental disease. there is no other way i can account for your abysmally daft and dangerous baloney.capitalism was and is about freedom to win and freedom to lose, while your communism is the mother of fascism and is all about ONE WILL and bound to fail.

It's only because you've been rooked by the media who are in the tank for Obama. He's a communist demagogue and fraud. And Biden is just embarrassing. He got a puny 3% in the primaries. It shows how dumb and ignorant Obama is.

yes, let's TALK RACISM: how come it is okay for 90% of blacks to vote for Obama, the black guy? Isn't this racist too that most blacks vote Obama because of his skin color? isn't it racist that the Democrats picked Obama not on his merits(there are none) but his skin color? the democrats are the racists here, just like in the jim crow days where they voted against the civil rights act, just like when they founded the KKK. democ-rat senator byrd used to be a member of KKK. so lets' talk racism shall we?
