Re: New Literally and Xmas card speculation...
No-one in the UK seems to have got theirs. I much prefer something colourful and the last one was also pasty looking - the "Outstanding" reference is interesting - would they go so far as to name the new album Outstanding -not sure but an interesting speculation.

To name an album 'Outstanding' is only slightly more conceited than accepting an award by the same name - an award that you've previously mocked.

Isn't it strange how you say not anyone received their cards in the UK yet, Billiejo, but there is some here from New York that say they have theirs!

Maybe they posted all the overseas cards first?
And everything about tonight feels right and so young

I just received my card and is truly minimalistic! But is cool the play with words with their names.

I have just noticed that the dot over Chris' signature is actually a little heart

On a day's leave from work today and mine has just arrived! First recipient from UK to post on this forum. (Although I like to be in first, I reckon Elton and Janet probably have theirs already!). Happy Christmas to all fellow Pet Heads. I have great expectations for 2009 and it should certainly be a cracking year for Neil and Chris!

No CDsadly. I wasn't really expecting one as we have had so many exclusive tracks on the website. REM always send out sled fulls stuff at Christmas by the way - it's a huge collection in itself if fans have the whole thing form when the club started CD's videos and now DVD's!Flaffer wrote:great to have another C. Unfortunately it is the one thing that has let the fanclub down, one CD and one DVD in 18/19 years is pretty poor. 1 up to erasure methinks, and Saint Etienne, Suede, U2

Just got home and mine was waiting for me. I like the way they have fitted their names into the greeting (and the heart of course) - would have liked a bit of colour - anyway happy now that I have got it

Same here, but I guess they wanted to keep it the minimalist way. I did notice the heart over Chris' name.
