Who cares? It's got a crap chorus anyways. The girls are hot, though.Rusty wrote:According to this forum it's at #10 after Monday sales http://www.moopy.org.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=58077
I guess we can kiss goodbye to #1 then!

This will not doubt prove to be the most eagerly anticipated, culturally relevent and exciting album by a UK female solo artist (and I stress the word "artist") since Lady Beckham's imaginatively titled Victoria Beckham:

That was kind of my point. I guess I meant make them seem even better. Never mind.Fugitive1979 wrote:They don't make them seem better, because Girls Aloud are better.DJ_Couture wrote:And The Saturdays only seem to exist to make Girls Aloud seem better!Kris wrote:That said, The Saturdays climbed from #27 to #6 following the physical release of Issues so it might still make the necessary leap.
The Saturdays are guff.

I see what you mean. Sorry, originally, I read it as a slur against Girls Aloud.DJ_Couture wrote:That was kind of my point. I guess I meant make them seem even better. I am dutifully buying it in all formats physical and download. Keeping my fingers crossed for a great chart placing but I understand the issues with release dates etc

Re: The Loving Kind - Chart Pos
No chance of it getting to #1. At this rate it'll be lucky to make the top10. I hope I'm wrong, though.
It's suffered because it was promoted to early to shift Out Of Control and the promotion wasn't followed up after Christmas.
Therefore, Out Of Control has sold so well that a lot of people already have The Loving Kind. If less people had bought the album then the single would have faired better, in my opinion.
At the moment, the album version is at #15 on i-Tunes, with the radio edit at #94.
Does the combined sales of all versions give one chart position?

Yes. With a bit of luck the single edit will shoot up over the course of this weekFugitive1979 wrote: Does the combined sales of all versions give one chart position?
Passion, love, sex, money, violence, religion, injustice and death. More on that story later.

Well, that's me done my bit. I just downloaded the Radio Edit, the Utah Saints Mix, the video and I've ordered the 7". I already have the album version from when the album was released, so that's 5 sales in total.

She'll probably do alright as a solo performer. As the poster girl for chav culture, there's a huge ready-made fanbase out there for her. Add the Girls Aloud gayers and teenagers, and she'll probably be around for a good while yet.DJ_Couture wrote:This will not doubt prove to be the most eagerly anticipated, culturally relevent and exciting album by a UK female solo artist (and I stress the word "artist") since Lady Beckham's imaginatively titled Victoria Beckham:

I saw a biography, and I think it was an unofficial one too, was very high in the books charts before Christmas. I would understand if it was an autobiography, but people want to fork over money to see what someone who is not Cheryl Cole has to say about Cheryl Cole?

Worth noting that Girls Aloud have never had a single that's failed to go top ten. This also follows a no. 1 as well...

If there really is a "curse of PSB" we should be celebrating it, not decrying it. I can think of a couple of people I'd like them to work with...

It will also be their 20th consecutive top10 hit, which is why it has to make it.Radiophonic wrote:Worth noting that Girls Aloud have never had a single that's failed to go top ten. This also follows a no. 1 as well...
According to the PJ forum, it is #10 just now.
