Excellent Drico! Wonderfull words!Drico One wrote:Don't splatter the street. In my view, the demise of the Pet Shop Boys will occur only when they have a serious falling out or when one of them dies. If they were to call it quits, they would in all likelihood have done so in 1991. Besides, it's not as if there are four of them or that they can retire to spend time with their wives and children.
These guys are artists. The rules of mere pop don't apply to them. They are the iconographic symbols of a musical genre. The gravitas they possess allows them the artistic divergence that mere mortals cannot aspire to or would not have the compulsion or ability to explore. It's a cliché, but music is what they do. They'll always have an audience (me for one), and they'll always be making it in some capacity. Ballets and soundtracks, musicals and remixes, it really will be "till death us do part."

Yes, very well put. They are just not a pop group, their music is their life and I can't see them "retiring" from it.amandote wrote:I couldn't have said it betterDrico One wrote:Don't splatter the street.
