I don't know if I like or not. But it is very different.

Waiting for the HD version to have a better opinion.

Reminded me a lot of the Beatles.
Do I have to?

Love the video. Reminded me of the Beatles too, particularly the film "Yellow Submarine".

I'm wondering if this artist will be doing all the videos for the Yes singles?

Bouncing balls all through the video, oh my god...
But if you bounce along with the video, then you will always be watching on the level, which will stop it being annoying. :D
You may need these...

They might sell those on the tour.
The video looks like Super Mario game. :D

The video was made by this Dutch artist:

To be honest... I don't like it too much... doesn't quite fit in with the image I have of the PSB. Or the image that they've projected in the past. Something more along the lines of the sleeve design of Yes and Love, etc what was I expected after EMI put on the pre-video on Youtube with those red/pink squares turning in a circle. That is a more minimal style that I like and fits the PSB perfectly. With this new video you have the feeling you are watching Monty Python instead...

edit: I do like the bit from 1:22-1:37 style-wise much more, but it's more interesting to watch the other parts indeed. Maybe it will grow on me.

Well... Pet Shop Boys fans do not worry, there are still more videos left for this year ;) I'm hoping for better.

Hmmm... OK, well that was interesting.
I'm not digging the heads-on-bouncy-balls. If it had been Neil and Chris in avatar form, jumping around like Super Mario, that would've been cool.
Ah well, they can't all be winners.
And everything about tonight feels right and so young
And anything I'd want to say out loud will be sung
It's in the music...

The avatar mario thing has been done to death I think ... Chris Rea's God's Great Banana Skin video springs to mind.

The only thing right is the strong link to the Pet Shop beat.
That should be standard on PSB videos for rhythmic songs.

N+C don't have to appear up front in a video.

Tell a story, some neo-rich beautiful couple around London.
Falling out, looking around, coming back, sights of London,
a glimpse of Neil singing his wisdom. Jealousy.

That video says one thing ; done to a budget.
And if that is necessary these days, ... oh well.
What a lot of garbage you've written. According to what you'd rather it had been, it'd have been boring and cliched. The way it is I think they've got 'more bang for their buck'! Guarantee budget is not an issue with this and it's top notch.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what I think of it yet. I kinda like the idea, but I think the green-ness bugs me a little. (yes, terribly superficial and girly to comment purely on the colours used. )

The pink balloons made me laugh- gotta love a little bit of suggestion, huh? I like the bat-men creatures that pop up in the chorus too.

I sort of like it, but a shot of the boys in it somewhere would have been nice too... even if it was just a fade-out shot at the end or something.

I have to agree. I love the fact that they've done something unusual and a lot more visually stimulating than a run-of-the-mill people-acting-out-a-story in the video.
But who said it was done to "a budget?" Just because it's animated doesn't mean it's any cheaper than a live-action one.

I can't wait to see the HD version :D

Great video but I was waiting for the large boot to come down at the end.. Otherwise very nice. Videos are pretty much a non-event these days, not like the days of West End girls/A-ha where promos got a lot more attention. This does a good enough job for the masses and is very youtube friendly. Most fans will be concentrating more on the live/mimed performances anyway.

HD makes me happy...it does.
Fantastic vid but I must agree with BecciJ, it would have been nice to see a glimpse of the boys...
