GREAT news on vinyl album release!! - EXCLUSIVE!

Not been able to say anything since very late last week when I found out (very frustrating! ), but there will now be a Yes album release on vinyl!

It will be a 1000 copy very limited run, and not wishing to blow my own (and the forum's) trumpet, but between What Records, myself and the members here we have persuaded the powers that be to produce the limited run! A bit of a Community coup!

What Records got a call from EMI the same afternoon after I posted about there officially being no vinyl release and they said there now would be. It would appear that the forum is read by someone that can take big decisions. Thank you whoever you are!

At the moment there are no details on pricing or when it will be released, but I am told it will be quite a while after the CD. That's probably down to the decision to produce them being made late last week after reading a certain thread!

As and when I hear any more I will pass the details on as soon as I can.

Wow, that's excellent news! Even though I don't purchase vinyl ('cause I've got nothing to play it with), I know others do and it's important to them. The fact that you guys were able to persuade EMI to change their mind is awesome. Well done!

I've got vinyls just for collection purpouses: Disco 3 and Fundamental with no hassle.

How large those recent runs were?

Don't quote me, but I'm sure I've read 10,000 somewhere, so by that measure this run will be much more exclusive.
