Pet Shop Boys are now being advertised on iTunes UK store starting site. Maybe that'll help to boost or at least keep continuous the sales.

If the CD singles were readily available all week, there's no doubt that by now Love Etc would have sold at least double the current figure, perhaps more, in the physical format. The fact that the CD sales only moved from 2,200 to 2,500 between Monday and Wednesday epitomises the shocking distribution issue. And from what I've heard, CD1 is still unavailable in many stores.
Didn't someone say that the stocking issues would be resolved today?

One major plus is that PSB are now competing to a certain extent in the download market.

I've just bombarded eveyone I know and told them that if they really love me they should buy the single for 79p off Amazon.
It's just my little tribute...

EMI is definitely pissing around. Love etc. is unavailable at either Amazon or HMV on-line at the moment and it's still difficult to buy in stores. HMV Oxford Street only had CD1 this afternoon. They blatantly want people to download the single instead.

well, it just moved up to #22 (highest so far) on the amazon mp3 chart, so maybe the plan is working

Yes, PSB said that EMI had reassured them it would be. Ho hum.

All those distribution problems are made even sadder by he fact that Gin & jag is probably their best B-side for at least 5 years. It's everything I love in a PSB-side.

What are the rules regarding DVDs? I'm really disappointed they didn't bring out a DVD because the video's so fantastic.

I think that because of the disappearance of the DVD single format is that we´re getting those 'Youtube HD' premieres...

That's a shame. I'm sure they could have recouped a fair proportion of the video's cost by releasing a DVD. Still, I'm sure it'll appear further down the line.

My copies have just shipped from the official record store - I only ordered them on Tuesday after realising that Amazon would not have them in stock.

I'm inclined to agree. It is rather cavalier.

Greetings Paulo,

I hope they continue to offer such reasonable (combined item + postage) rates to Australia on upcoming singles. It's always a drama working out where to get the singles imported from, and they seem to be doing a good job of it.

I agree Retro.

If the cds arrive in a timely matter I am going to use them for all future releases.
