Where have you been? This thread is months old now!

Try eBay. There are some on there for sale by dealers at the moment at normal money still. Once they're all gone from there the value will start to creep, I am sure.

*edit* If you should look to buy the one from feelgoodinc090505 then ask if they have it in stock before you buy. They tend to sell stuff they haven't got and order the item to fulfil your order. That's usually fair enough (even if it does add time to the delivery date ), but if that is the case with this one and they try to order it once you've bought it then they're not going to receive the item as they're all gone.

Having had this record for a few days now, can I again express my gratitude to everyone who helped make it happen? Doubtless it's only partly acoustic/tactile, but I can finally listen to Yes without the nagging feeling that I'm storing the massive enjoyment for later. It sounds beautiful.

A little surprised that, with 1,000 extra sales, the album hasn't re-entered the top 100, but maybe the CD sales have taken a dent this week. I can speak for at least two people besides myself who wouldn't have bought Yes had it not been for this LP, and who bought it this week.

On your first point, thanks! I'm happy that you're so pleased with it Ramzy.

It's nice to be involved in the creation of something that was otherwise never going to exist, and also really nice to be able to offer our users the very first opportunity to make sure they got a copy.

This forum and it's users also played a huge part in bringing this item into reality. I don't want to sound like I am bigging him up all the time, but without Tim @ What Records there's no doubt this would definitely never have happened. It was his original idea to approach me to use the forum to show the demand for the vinyl release, bearing in mind that it would have been the first PSB album not to be offered in 12" format. I know he's as pleased as we are that it was such a success. Thanks from me go to everyone who ordered a copy, thus showing Parlo/EMI that it was a very worthwhile venture.

I got mine today in little ol' NZ it looks great - but I'm now conflicted as to whether to open it.
So in your wise opinions - should I leave sealed and increase it's collectability - or open and dribble over the piece of art that it is? Is this stuff genuinely worth something to collectors or not?

I dont need the music - I've 2 Yes CDs and the 11 x 12" coming.

Or, should I shut up and get on with my life

It's never going to be worth very much. 1,000 is quite a large number in terms of limited editions, and it's just a regular single-disc album. The Disco 3 vinyl was limited to 1,000 and, from what I can tell, sells for much less now than the price for which it originally retailed, and that featured an exclusive track.

PSB collectors - me included - seem often to dream about 'being there' when something fantastically rare is released for cost price, but the fact is that, unless something very odd happens to the market, nothing released after 1993 is ever likely to be worth much at all because the non-'classic' years since simply aren't perceived to be of sufficient historical interest.

The obvious exception to this is the Yes boxset, whose quantity and physicality are sufficient to push it over the threshold.

If it's any indication, I'm sure Nightlife can't have been pressed in much quantity on vinyl ten years ago, but seems to be still available new from many retailers.

The value of this release is first and foremost in its utility.

But obviously I could be wrong!
