Great find, Ghost. They might release a German version called 'Wiener'. But wait won't there be Olympic Games in Londinium around the corner?

Like your thinking , and could this be related to the something very 'secret' with the BBC Orchestra Neil mentioned from the Wogan Interview viewtopic.php?f=1&t=26100 . A song called Winner, Olympic Games, BBC Orchestra , perhaps playing with the accompaniment of the orchestra ( Andrew Dawson tweeted Strings Strings and more Strings! on 28/2)

A track called 'Winner' being released slap bang in the middle of the Olympics?
God, I hope this doesn't turn into one of those Ricky Martin-style World Cup tie-ins. Shudder.
Drico.

It doesn't sound anything like a typical Pet Shop Boys title

I think we may have the wrong end of the stick, relating 'Winner' to the Olympics. I think it's more likely to be one of Neil's role-playing songs...
Calm down dear, it's nothing controversial, Calm down dear, it's only a commercial...

In that case, let's hope Winner is all La Copa de la Vida. Drico.

I wouldn't mind if "Winner" is based on the first part of The winner (also at 1:20 in The competition). I'd love to hear more of that. Not very likely though, Elysium seems to go in a different, but still interesting, direction.
