I don't buy into all this "remastered vinyl" claptrap. You're basically paying £25 for a large black CD
is is and isnt isnt

Actually that's rather neat. Does it leave much space for the booklet? Glad I'm not the only Icehouse fan out there.
In the Icehouse set there's a 16-page booklet and it fits reasonably enough. But of course it won't matter in the FL sets since the booklet goes outside of the jewel case anyway.

I doubt it.

I'll be streaming during release via Spotify and will wait for the box set.

Will buy the CD edition and might get tempted to get the vinyl also... Even though I don't have a record player. Not the most sensible decision but hey ho!
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

I noticed that too. I wonder why? The leaked demo sounds as complete as any other demo.

That I doubt. Have they ever released a demo of a song that has not been released in its finished form, either by them or another artist the demo was given to?
No. I'm hoping they might see fit to record a new version of Little black dress given the issues with clearance for the demo.

The source material requirements for vinyl mastering are different than for digital formats. Masters for CD can be brick wall limited to just below zero dB full scale without introducing distortion. You can't feed a vinyl cutting lathe a full scale source without serious sonic consequences -so the source material needs to be adjusted to take this into account. Hence the vinyl version will sound different (as opposed to subjectively "better") to the digital remaster.
