I hope they acted like grownups and went to the funeral (if invited).

I think people don't get advised in advance about funerals like this (so that they can send flowers in time) unless they are invited. So, they did not go.

Well as far as I understand Watkins had Farrow working for him and that's how he became associated with PSB. I wish they would've stuck to S Hague/J Mendelsohn the way they stuck to Farrow.
They would've been in the dumper 25 years ago if they did that...

Sad news - only finished his autobiography last week too. Quite a good read, actually.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|

I was disappointed with it. Found it a little dull

I don't know why but, I am still shocked about this. I thought Tom was getting better. :(

He had had at least one stroke, a liver transplant and had diabetes. I am unsure what he actually died of though.

It is a shame as I thought he was much better through having a liver transplant. Mind you, just the thought of having that would have taken it out off you.

Didn’t he have cancer at one point as well?

I walked past his Sugar Cube house down in Lydd in early 2002. It was stupidly massive compared to the rest of the row of houses along the seafront. He was in the garden, on the phone. I didn't say anything, I just said to my girlfriend of the time:- "Wow! That's Tom Watkins!"

"Who?"

We didn't last.....
