Look:
Q: Any homo references?
Popjustice: Yes (see "it's tough getting on in the world when the sun doesn't shine and a boy needs a girl" line).

If you see in what context they say "a boy needs a girl", you'll see is just the opposite. It's like Neil was saying "in general, boys prefer girls than boys, what a pity!".

And then, what's wrong in saying "this is a song about boys and girls"?. I think is a good idea to start a song in this way. PSB usually talk about homosexual and bisexual boys in their songs, it's not a secret. Now this song is FOR EVERYONE (I think is a good thing).

Maybe it's because I'm straight but I don't see they are trying to say "We are going to lie and say we are straight to sell more copies". Maybe they think this album doesn't need so many homo-references because they want to be more commercial but it's not something bad, I think.

Get over it. Their songs weren't any less sincere when he was doing the same thing 20 years ago. Neil often sings as a character (see Rent).

I guess I misinterpreted it, it makes sense the way you explained it. Thanks!

Nickname we are capable of visiting the PJ site. Good for them that they are still listening to the album. It's not really news though.

From POPJUSTICE:

Pet Shop Boys:
Saw Neil Tennant eating a pork pie last night.

This 'pork pie' wasn't wearing a leotard at the time, was it?

It reminds me of that pic of Neil with a cooked pork in front of him and some men around him.

I think he's reffering to a picture from the fundamental tour, in a spanish restaurant.
