I'm happy for Ghosts, but A Place... is a very weak song.

In other words, they are some of the tracks that will be on the album. It's been going around for a while that he's doing a dance/electronic album.shaunh7 wrote:The Album includs the following tracks:

While it'd be great if the lead single was with PSB I doubt very much that they would have produced Rudebox. Sounds more like Mark Ronson to me.shaunh7 wrote: Title: 1974;

Could PSB really produce a track called the 80s?
And let's hope the cover version is not ABBA's Lovelight!

Danish MOR rockers Michael Learns To Rock did a song called "The Actor" back in 1990 or so. It was quite a good song, but I can't see Robbie doing it, if that is the cover.

The Actor sounds like a typical title that RW and PSB would come up with. Just did an online search and found that The Actor is how David Bowie used to refer to himself as in the early 70s (presumably when he wasn't being The Thin White Duke et al!) and he credited himself on the Hunky Dory album as being produced by Ken Scott (assisted by The Actor).
And of course the title of the Robbie album being 1974 is very autobiographical. Another search just gave me the info that the No.1 single on the day he was born 13.02.74 was Tiger Feet by Mud!
btw here's the lyrics to ABBA's Lovelight. The verses are interesting (particularly verse 1 which I could imagine appealing to RW) but it's a weak chorus, and I can't imagine PSB producing an ABBA track. Not after Erasure had already done it anyway.
I’ve always hated my room
it’s so gloomy and dreary
always too dark for the
windows just face the backyard
so I can’t understand
how it’s happened
how everything’s changin’
this old dirty ceiling
seems a little whiter
when you walked into the room
it all got so much brighter
you must have a
Lovelight
everything around you is lovelight
’n I can feel your love anywhere
baby, even when you’re not there
but lovelight
everything around you is lovelight
you’re shinin’ like a star in the night
I won’t let you out of my sight
I don’t wanna lose you
I don’t wanna lose your lovelight
How I remember the first time
we went to a movie
we had decided
to meet on a corner downtown
and I waited there
when you came up from behind
then you kissed me
and the traffic seemed
to get a little lighter
when you came into my life
it all got so much brighter
you must have a
Lovelight
everything around you is lovelight
’n I can feel your love anywhere
baby, even when you’re not there
but lovelight
everything around you is lovelight
you’re shinin’ like a star in the night
I won’t let you out of my sight
I don’t wanna lose you
I don’t wanna lose your lovelight
And I feel so good
and I feel so fine
and I know that
you must have a lovelight
You got lovelight
’n I can feel your love anywhere
baby, even when you’re not there
but lovelight
everything around you is lovelight
you’re shinin’ like a star in the night
I won’t let you out of my sight
I don’t wanna lose you
I don’t wanna lose your lovelight
Everything about you is right
let it glow and let it be bright
I don’t want to lose your lovelight
shining like a star in the night

The 80's and The 90's - not too hard to work out what they are about but, interestingly, they are two rap style tracks, and the lyrics certainly open your eyes to how he was feeling during the Take That days and how he felt towards Nigel Martin Smith - one lyric explains how he would like to take a Stanley Knife to his eyes! Charming!
