YES, all of this pleaseBjossi wrote:Fluorescent, in a classy black casing with those slanted orange stripes. Contains a single edit, an extended version (like, 10+ minutes long), the unused version that has all the vocals that were removed, and perhaps 1 or 2 B-sides and some remixes. And of course a video to the single edit, using the concept we saw in the teaser as the base.
It sure ain't going to happen but I can dream!

I don't think is "Fluorescent". It's not a good single for Christmas time. Very dark. I think a rework of "Bolshy" would be more effective. Anyway, I think it would be a new song.

It couldn't be much darker than the 2003 Xmas #1 Mad World by Michael Andrews ft. Gary Jules.

I reckon its a hi nrg cover of Fairytale of New York, merged with New York city boy and
And macho backing vocals provided by the Gay Irish Hussars choir
It could finish McGowan off

Re: New single?
There is more than enough happy happy joy joy stuff released and played during the christmas season for the surprisingly large number of people who can and like to stomach it. The stuff that stands out of the crowd is a welcome change in my book, and darkness most definitely falls in that category. It's not like there is no market for it, christmas is not a time of happiness for everyone.nickname wrote:I don't think is "Fluorescent". It's not a good single for Christmas time. Very dark.

Re: New single?
I'm guessing it'll be a cover version of a Christmas classic. Stop the Cavalry anyone? Lots of opportunities for Electric bells with a Chrimbo twist there, and not your typical Christmas song which is more their style and anti-war sentiment too.

Re: New single?
Have we not spent enough money since the start of the tour and the electric VF box?!,not really any need for another single with 3 in such a short space of time, and if you are a serious collector like i am then i think we could do with a wee break financially!!

Re: New single?
Happy Christmas! It's the delightful prospect of a £6.99 surprise single. If you are mad enough to have £500 to spend on the VF box that's hardly a stretch is it? The more they release before retirement the better IMO. Bring it on...PETHEAD72 wrote:Have we not spent enough money since the start of the tour and the electric VF box?!,not really any need for another single with 3 in such a short space of time, and if you are a serious collector like i am then i think we could do with a wee break financially!!

Re: New single?
Screw promos. I don't give a damn especially when we're not technically supposed to have them anyway and they're sold for extortionate prices like the already extortionate Vinyl Factory set will be when it goes on eBay. People are mad in the head and after monies.
A typical PSB promo with exclusive content costs about £50. A tenth of the budget for the Vinyl Factory album.
I like bought one promo in my life to date, Robbie Williams' Sin Sin Sin at a marketplace in Cardiff, which had an otherwise unavailable instrumental as track 2 (like Memory of the future's undersized, clear CD promo), and it cost a meer £8, not like that certain shop in Notting Hill that was selling Love is a bourgeois construct promo for 50 smackeroonies!
