Blimey! If Neil and Chris do log in here what on earth would they think? I think it's a good track listing and has some fantastic remixes on there and it may introduce other people to their work. I never see any release from the boys as a bad release and we all have a choice to buy it or not. Personally as I have all the previous releases I will of course buy it. My birthday is in September and there seems to be a release of some format around then for years. Long may it continue and thank you neil and chris for a fantastic tour have a well deserved rest. There has been a lot of speculation regarding track listings and fantasy remixers and the like. I think everyone got a little carried away if the truth be known!

no no, our opinions count, not just the positive ones.I feel all the excitement we have been having was pretty much due to the idea of recieving new material.
really surprising,I figured they know us by now, after all stuff like this generally is only attractive to the PSB hardcore audience and that usually means giving some new stuff.
I'm not going to buy,not out of some protest but simply because there isnt anything attractive about it.

I can see why they have done it this way
Disco 1 - Mixes of own stuff
Disco 2 - Mixes of own stuff
Disco 3 - Mixes of own stuff and studio tracks
Disco 4 - Mixes of other peoples stuff
but it is disappointing. I think they should defo reconsider Integral being a single even if it is only a maxi CD or download only package.

What a load of f*** shite.
The first "Pet Shop Boys" album I wont be buying, whats the point - apart from this new mix, I already have the damn thing.
I do think though that THEY wanted Integral to be released as a single but EMI werent having any of it.
There's still time to pull this release.
**Eject**
**Inserts Disco 2**

Crying out loud, a lot of whinging before anyones heard the damn thing. I suspect most peoples stress isn't due to the tracklisting but the plans that Integral wont be a single.
''Only 8 tracks yadda yadda yadda.'' What was the mood when Disco and Introspective were released.Only 6 tracks each. Razor blades at the ready?

There's a palpable sense of disappointment after the magnificence of Disco 3. It's just another PSB 'product' like Concrete or Cubism rather than something fresh and exciting.Undertaker wrote:Crying out load, a lot of whinging before anyones heard the damn thing. "Before anyones heard the damn thing"? The problem here is rather that we have already heard almost the whole damn thing, seven out of eight tracks.
For those who are inclined to say that any release is a good thing and if we don't like it we don't have to buy it, keep in mind the opportunity cost here. A crappy Disco 4 takes the place of what could have been a pretty good collection of remixes and / or new tracks. For that matter, they could have released a further listening edition of Nightlife or something. What's worse, when this release sells catastrophically poorly, it's going to damage the Boys' ability to release things in the future.

Thats the same as a greatest hits package too. You have heard all the stuff time and time again.Propertius wrote:"Before anyones heard the damn thing"? The problem here is rather that we have already heard almost the whole damn thing, seven out of eight tracks.
I have never been keen on remixes. The majority are rubbish but i'm prepared to give it a listen before i judge.
