A bit puzzling, really. Robbie is on tour and still releasing singles off "Intensive Care". He's not playing ANY new songs on tour and yet he is expected to release a whole new album this autumn.
Something tells me that this is not going to be a "regular" Robbie Williams album.

I heard that Rob rapped some of Rudebox impromtu stylee at his Amsterdam gig the other week.
Since he really took off in a big way with 1999's Ive Been Expecting You, EMI have released some sort of RW album every year without fail. He's the label's biggest cash cow so they will want to have the autumn market in the bag for him yet again.
Though I see "1974" more of an interesting "project" like Swing When You're Winning. Still amazed there was only one single from that, and not featured on the Greatest Hits either, despite being a No.1.

*updated*
So far it seems these are all included on the '1974' album (out Sept 11?) then:
1.Rudebox (new single out Sept 4)
2.Lovelight
3.The Actor
4.The 80's
5.The 90's
6.Kiss Me (cover of Stephen Tintin Duffy's 80s hit)
7.King Of Bongo (cover of 1991 Euro hit by Manu Chao & Mano Negra)
8.We're The Pet Shop Boys (cover produced by PSB)
9.She's Madonna (duet with/produced by PSB)
10. Louise (cover of Human League 80s hit)
Two of the tracks feature current hot chick Lily Allen (daughter of Fat Les's Keith) to boot.

Do we know if Lovelight is the ABBA track or a new one?
Was hoping She's Madonna might be the second single.
Here's original Duran Duran Stephen Duffy and the video to Kiss Me (produced by Stephen Hague) in 1985, though I've always prefered the original version in 1983 when he was just Tintin.

Blimey, what an overload of 80s-related tracks on this album - not that I'm really complaining.
Louise (Human League, 1984) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIPNBIwqZNY
Rudebox (samples Sly & Robbie's Boops!, 1986)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUolbjGYP40
Kiss Me (TinTin, 1983) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhGA_W9lCI0
The 80s
She's Madonna (made her name in the 80s)
We're The Pet Shop Boys (made their name in the 80s)
And if Lovelight is indeed the ABBA cover then that was released not far off, in 1979, and King Of Bongo recorded 1990/1991.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KwPUoz-vNo

To be fair, this album, 1974, has been put together very quickly, in less than six months. RW was busy promoting Intensive Care then went on a major tour which is still going.
I guess RW is one of those artists that isn't able to write much on the road. Not when there's so many groupies and parties to go to...
