Of course not. If you are a person in the public eye, like Guy is, why should it be libellous to be mentioned in a song? Naturally, if there was a line in the song that could be interpreted as slander (like "Guy Ritchie is a c***"), that would be a different thing, but naturally one can be mentioned in a song in a similar way as one can be mentioned in a newspaper.

I didn't mean that it might be libellous to mention his name just that if you are mentioned in a song by name whether you would need to give permission or not. For instance, Robbie went to Madonna personally with the song but it seems he didn't need to do that.

Dude, why is one Bowie obsessed to ask you to explain a bizarre nonsensical post you made? (and obviously it's not the first either, from what I gather. You certainly appear to know how to say something that can be easily ridiculed. You really make no sense at all.)

The reason why I thought Bowie shouldn't be counted, is because it's not Neil 'squeezing' his voice into it, with some background vocals, but because it's basically a full duet. So it's way MORE than just some background vocals.

Some people, seem to enjoy suggesting that I'm on medication. I don't need medication to function properly, nor before, nor after posting messages over here. Furthermore, I'm not the slightest bit interested in 'discussing' with you, hestha1. I consider you a troll. I don't discuss with people who *I think* are aliases of banned ex-forum members, no matter if my suspicion is wrong or right.

The news is almost too fantastic to be true, but on a Wikipedia-site
I just read the chart result of She's Madonna for week 2 in the Dutch Top 40...

Last time, this same website announced the #36 entry a few days before
the Top 40 appeared online, and it turned about to be correct...

So... I have VERY strong reasons to believe that Robbie Williams & Pet Shop Boys
are at #10
in this week's Top 40 !!!

This is the BEST chart result for a record with PSB involvement, since Go West hit #3 in 1993.
And (apart from the new notes in Go West) it's the first Tennant/Lowe song since "In Private" (1990)
to hit the Dutch top 10 AND top 20.

Additionally, it seems that Robbie is currently having the 4th best selling single, selling 75% of the #1 seller, in the midweeks.

If you'd bothered to read my post properly I mentioned nothing of backing vocals. I said Neil has managed to squeeze his vocals on to most of the songs PSB have remixed or produced for others. Hallo Spaceboy falls into this category. From what I remember, the original Bowie album version of the song doesn't feature any vocals by Neil.

The song is still credited to David Bowie as the artist btw, so no duet either.

Don't take this whole 'bad album' thing seriously, certainly not the PSB involvement, since the 2 PSB-produced tracks are often hailed as the best ones from that album.

It's just popular to slag off Robbie, because Take That made a comeback.
