Hot off the wire a new update from Bigboy and a NEW piccie to  over
Bigboy wrote: ooh another pic of mine on gaydar has just received some sexy praise at the weekend. a guy messaged me to say 'i get very hot seeing pic 6 of your profile (this one). i hope to have great fun together soon!!! since the first time i saw you i felt horny as hell,to see your face, your body, and for special your hairy arms, turned me on sooooooooooooooooooo very much, but i tought i would be a too simple type for you'

i should explain that the guy in question is dutch and is the ex of a friend who still lives in nl. theres never been anything between us though somehow i think that is about to change very soon ;-0 he is absolutely gorgous, btw.

funnily enough, the pic was taken by my own dutch ex last summer in coimbra, portugal. it was my birthday (26 june) and we had driven up from the algarve that morning. i was texting a dutch friend of ours back in holland who had lived in coimbra for a year (studying at uni) in the early 90s. out friend had just sent me a happy birthday sms and asked if we liked coimbra. i decided to have a bit of fun by texting him back and saying 'yes we like coimbra very much but not nearly as much as miguel likes you. what a sweet guy.'

basically, we thought our pal, being dutch and very tall and handsome would have been a bit hit with the portugese boys so we plucked a name out of the air (manuel being vetoed as being too fawlty towers!) and wanted to the impression that we'd got talking to a local gayboy, who once he realised we came from holland, asked if we knew **** and then revealed that they'd been, erm, close at one point.

the amazing thing was that when we returned to holland we discovered that **** actually had a serious boyfriend for the whole year he was in coimbra and....yep, you've guessed it....his name was miguel! not only that, but he's still not over the fact that out pal went back to holland and ended the relationship and this guy been trying to stalk him ever since!!! we knew nothing of this until this time.

i better be on my guard - in a months time i shall be near portugal, on a clubbing holiday in ibiza with the very dutch guy in question who has been the subject of some crazed portugese obssession, yep, our pal is one half of the dutch couple i stayed with recently..... oh, its so incestuous being a bummer boy ;-)
And here is the new picture mentioned above :

StevePSB, why don't you moderate here? You asked Technotrancemix and Define PSB to continue their conversation in private mails. They completely ignored that request. You DID close the signature thread, started by Miss Lowe Tennant, stating: "This has gone totally off topic and I think I've read enough." - Why not close this thread then? Judging from the number of people who still post in this thread (only 2-3), the forum members have read enough here as well.

And to Define PSB, who wrote in that signature thread: "WE ALL KNOW there is more music and more groups! it's just that THIS IS A PET SHOP BOYS FORUM -- albeit Off Topic Why are you RAMMING LUIS down all our throats ?", I would like to say: Why are you ramming the private life of this Bigboy person down all our throats? -- Oh, and please don't answer "You don't need to read it", since you didn't need to read that thread by Miss Lowe Tennant either.

Double standards and loads of hypocrisy on this forum, obviously...
Thanks for the helpful and friendly advice, mate... It's so easy to moderate forums you know. A breeze. A walk in the park. Until you actually try it...

That said, I think we have had enough of the minutiae of Bigboys life now. He's banned from the forum, and he really doesn't need any more publicity here, thanks.

Steve said in the "signature" thread: "This thread has gone off topic"

This thread is a topic started by bigboy about bigboy. It's still about bigboy, so it's on the original topic.

But as I said, I think you're right and he's had enough publicity. If anyone wants to talk further about a banned forum member's life, I'd suggest they do it off the forum.

That is very totalitarian though.

Philosophically, is something off off topic?

Steve's point in the signature thread was that it had gone way off-topic, and into pointless sniping, off topic meaning that it had strayed far from the topic of the thread, which was asking if Lidia's signature picture was too big.

This thread is still on topic, in that it's still about bigboy. What I'm saying is, there's no need now to keep discussing the life of someone has been banned from the forum, especially as he's obviously such an attention-seeker.

When I asked if further comments could be made off forum, I was asking because the thread was taking a turn towards petty bickering and insults. The thread did indeed continue, but in my opinion it continued in a better tone than before, hence I didn't intervene any further.

I echo Rob's sentiment on the topic matter though and I feel it wouldn't be a bad thing if this thread was to come to a natural end.

I put a stop to the thread initially about signatures because I knew it was going to cause trouble and there would have been no point in trying any other means of intervention. This I know from experience.

Oh, and thank you for your constructive criticism. If you'd had a few more posts under your belt I might have taken your words a little bit more seriously, but to come in here and start telling us what to do after just 29 posts is a little rude in my honest opinion (if we aren't dealing with an alias, of course...).

 I apologise for the petty bickers and insults ! I also apologise for assisting the topic to continue! I was not aware that one was no longer allowed to pass on snippets of info regarding ex-members, banned members, etc! If in doing so I have broken a rule then I shall have to be punished too!

You haven't broken the rules define. There's no rule about posting about banned users. Before bigboy there was only one banned user, so it wasn't something we even considered. I'd just appreciate if you stopped in this case. I'm sure bigboy is capable of telling those interested what is going on in his life.

Apropos of nothing, I've heard a whisper that ABBA have recruited a new member recently.

And what a member.
