I totally agree with you but many synth fanatics do not regard PSB as a core (real?) synth band but rather a much more mainstream pop band, more akin to Duran Duran or Aha or Wham, if you see what I am trying to get at Their "true to the word synth bands" include Eurythmics, Human League, Ultravox etc...

Surely not? Eurythmics did synthpop only for two albums in 1983-84; before and after that they were quite an ordinary guitar-based pop/rock band. Ultravox has used guitars too a lot over the years.

A couple of familiar names (New Concept, Distain), but the fact there is a new Richter track on it makes me want to have it asap! Otherwise it doesn't look too promising, considering I've never heard of the other bands. But then again, some years ago, when the Very Introspective Actually (or what was its title?) compilation came out, it too held only a couple of names which sounded familiar to me, while now half of those bands I've ended up liking a lot.

Some of these tracks are horrendously bad - the Domino Dancing take in particular.
King's Cross stands out for me despite having a dreadful 80s karaoke thing going on like the others it's got a pretty good female vocal and it brings out the fantastic tune.

I'm listening to this right now... Heart is pretty great. So far, I like it... although, yes, Domino Dancing (now in the speakers) is sort of absolutely awful.
